  1. Not really an answer but I'm kinda in the same spot - I got accepted into a program and I want to go visit but I don't really know how to start that dialogue. Did you set up meetings before or after being accepted? Like did you email the department and just be like "I got accepted and want to come to see the area before I commit! Can I meet with you?"
  2. Manifesting is real because A FEW DAYS LATER YA GIRL JUST GOT INTO THE ONLY PROGRAM THEY APPLIED FOR (not sure if I can afford it but HEY I GOT IN)
  3. If this person really is applying for creative writing, they've found their calling. They'll go far
  4. Worries: I applied to one school in October and it was rolling admissions. Haven't heard a single thing since. I read somewhere on these forms that if I didn't get a rejection straight up after I applied, at least that means they're interested...right? Also, I heard that funding mostly goes towards Ph.D candidates and I applied for their Master's degree, so now I have this fear that I really will get in and not be able to afford it. Excitement: Maybe I'll hear back soon? Maybe they're taking so long because they want to give me full funding and are trying to put their finances together so they can offer me a full ride up-front? If I don't get in, at least I know I'll be graduating in May, able to apply for a job and not crying due to application-induced anxiety. Maybe I'll adopt a dog. The world is my oyster.
  5. My boyfriend will be starting his last year of school this fall - if I don't get into grad school this round I'd probably move in with him at an apartment by his school. I find some sort of job there (thankfully he's in a city-ish area) and start looking into immigrating to Canada. Not kidding about the last part - maybe I'll look into grad schools up there if I get rejected this app season.
  6. ME. RIGHT NOW. I applied to one school and it was rolling admissions - I sent in my app in October and have heard absolutely nothing. By this point, I'm thinking it's time to start looking into my backup plans.
  7. My program was rolling admissions and I applied a little over two weeks ago! The suspense is killing me!!
