Wow, that is odd. Did you tell them you you still haven't received the email? Maybe it differs for each department but I received mine and it said they'll get back to me in the coming weeks. It's been three weeks now and I'm scared to even ask what my spot on the waitlist is. Could I ask what questions you emailed them about your waitlist? I've been delaying any correspondence lest they think I'm badgering them ? Also, thank you so much for your encouragement about next year. Great to know someone else is in the exact same boat

You're already one step ahead of me because I'm driving myself crazy checking the forum and portal. But I too have accepted the very real possibility of not getting off the waitlist so I'm already looking for jobs that can add value and working on improving my apps. I was waitlisted for Population, Family and Reproductive Health and I feel there are very few of us who applied and are on this forum because nobody seems to know anything about this department. Which leads me to believe that everyone who got accepted will probably commit because it's a niche field. Thoughts?

Hello, I just received an interview call from Johns Hopkins. I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on what the interview might entail?

Hello, I'm a MPH graduate from India and I want to apply for PhD programs starting in Fall 2019. I'm due to take the GRE in the first week of September. I want to ask a couple of things - 1. Is formal work experience a necessity? I have over 12 months in internships and 2 months of freelance work, but does that leave me at a disadvantage for PhD? 2. I am currently in the process of getting my master's thesis published. What is the best way to put that across to the POI or in the CV? If I'm not published by the time of the application, do I not have a shot?
