A bit more research...so, I document, here, in case anyone else notices this lonely thread, knows more, or, wants to know about this subject... I called The University of The Cumberlands (not to be confused with Cumberland University), after cruising their website, which came to my attention via one of these online program ranking (for cost, predominantly) sites. I think there are broken links on The University of The Cumberlands's site, because, beneath the Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology spots, where the site offers to open up to show more of the requirements, thereupon, the links seem dead. Also, I didn't navigate (or, it's not present (or obvious how to navigate)) to that which describes what's available online at The University of The Cumberlands (I keep writing the full name so to make sure nobody does still confuse it with the "other" school with "Cumberland" in its name - just make sure you're in Kentucky, not Tennessee), hence, I only saw a per-term tuition-cost arrangement. So, i called. They're very nice. Their tuition cost per credit out IS available in that fashion and is $199, at least for online. While the lady with whom I spoke wanted to make sure I understood that she couldn't guarantee (without a doublecheck, anyway) that every psych course she could see was also available (every semester, anyway), online, she gave me a cardinal number count of 21 such for undergrads, though she said that there might be one-off or occasional offerings outside of what appeared, in the immediate, in the catalog. So, there 'ya go! A cheaper option, yet! Anybody know anything else, within these stated parameters?

I may have answered my own question, via a bit more research: Bottom-line lowest-cost (from per-credit-hour tuition for online) for a place that does have a psych undergrad program seem so to be Ft. Hays University, at somewhere just north of $200 per credit hour and with about 23 different undergrad psych class course offerings (just to pluck a school with a robust psych program as reference for the raw number of undergrad psych courses (save for the independent study or independent research or internships or other more esoteric upper level offerings), I count 33 at Virginia Commonwealth University). Any other thoughts or feedback is most appreciated, particularly in the event that you know something in answer to the narrow focus of my question. Yes, RezDream - and thank you so much for responding with additional inquiry - I am, indeed, an undergrad wishing to switch majors, but, with an eye towards (eventual) grad school (I work full time, plus have a young family). I'm quite sure that I wish to change my major to psych. I'm equally unsure as to what grad school or program to which I will apply. On topic, though, I have read extensively, elsewhere, and regarding my specific path, soul-searched sufficiently (and have acute awareness that following any course of action efficiently is always aided by beginning with the end in mind...), so, that that there ARE specifics that will be pre-requisites for specific programs is well understood, but, since I can't predict how my journey is going to shake out or when, exactly, I'm not too stressed about getting more than the general wide-range of coursework, with approximately the right names of said courses, under my belt. With that in mind, I'd like to shotgun. Call me a fool, but, that seems the best I can do, right now, given current resources. Even though the specific requirements of a particular program go far and away more into the syllabus, the rubric, type and level of accreditation or conference, research intensity, whether labs were included, and maybe even reputation of the schools and coursework which an applicant represents as their prerequisites, I'm going to take the classes which have, at least, as their course name and subject matter, those diverse psych-program labels, such as I can find, all in one place to which I might transfer my bunch of general education and ample electives, only to get my undergraduate degree, after a few years, from the college or university that can give me the greatest number of psych courses at the very lowest price possible. Meanwhile, you're applying to some top-notch places, so, good luck to you RD! I realize that you may not know much about the more base-level programs (and costs), but, in case you do, please say write what you know. By the way, I see you're from Virginia. While Virginia Commonwealth University's psych PhD program may not be tip-top in reputation, in general, or in developmental (I'm ignorant as to this), they have been on a march, for a few years to gain THE rep for psych on the East Coast. I've no idea how they're doing in that quest, but, I mention the name, in case it's been overlooked and is a good possibility for you. Thanks, again, RD.
