@went_away Where would you rank Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs on that list? It's a new program, but it seems to give everyone who gets in a full-ride.

I'm not very familiar with how the international job market works. Are connections absolutely vital in securing UN / WB jobs? I received 66% funding from SAIS and 50% funding from Fletcher. Also got into SIPA but no funding. I also have a full tuition offer from Korbel, but without the stipend. Would any of those options be more appealing than the full ride from Keough? As for HKS, there's always the loan repayment assistance program. But yeah, I'm not very keen on taking on so much debt.

Hi @tealeaf71! Thanks for your very helpful reply. I don't think I'll be able to do a summer internship at the World Bank because the Keough School's curriculum already comes with a summer field placement. Would it be possible to do an internship at the WB after graduation?

Can anyone who attended the Keough School share their experiences? How is it like there? Would you recommend it? Would also appreciate responses about what people have heard about the Keough School and its general reputation.

Hi, everyone! Thank you for starting this thread. I would also appreciate some advice on my situation. Coming from:  A developing country where I currently work for the foreign affairs ministry. I’m hoping to pursue a career in international development, preferably in international organizations such as the UN or World Bank. Deciding between: Harvard Kennedy School: MPP - International and Global Affairs (COA: $85k/year) Notre Dame Keough School: Master of Global Affairs - Sustainable Development (COA: free) How I'm leaning: It’s tough. Notre Dame is giving me a full-ride. But the Keough School is relatively new and untested, and I haven’t seen much discussion about the quality or reputation of the school in these forums. On the other hand, the Kennedy School is well-established, and the Harvard brand name speaks for itself. Unfortunately, there is no way I could afford it besides going into debt. For now, I’m leaning towards Notre Dame for practical reasons. But I don’t want to look back at this moment 10, 20 years from now, and regret that I passed up the chance to go to Harvard. Is the difference in quality between these two schools big enough to justify going into debt?

I’d go to Princeton if I were you. It’s considered by some to be the best public policy school in the world, and you get to go there for free. It’s a no-brainer. The only real competition is Harvard. But you still have to spend some money to go there, so WWS just seems more economical.

In at MPP, but no funding too. I saw this article on The Crimson that HKS had raised hundreds of millions of dollars for financial aid, so I had a small hope that this year would be different. So disappointing.

Any word on when decisions wil be out for the regular round?

I think the people who already got funding applied to programs other than MIA. The ones who have no funding info yet all applied to MIA.
