I think I know how you feel but there is not an exact formula of GPA/research experience. Different schools want different things that's why you apply to more than one(try to contact the schools and ask them where can you improve your application). In your case, 12 might have been too much, quality is more important than quantity. NIH IRTA is pretty much first come first served and it doesn't have to do with your credentials. As long as you think research the right path for you, you will persevere and finally obtain it. Look into some lab tech jobs if that's an option. I wish you the best of luck.

I dont know you, but from what I am reading, you are always trying to be someone else. You will never be successfull that way. I suggest that you find the things which only you can do and work very hard at developping that.

I suppose it depends on the program! If it is a program that requires an interview and you did not receive an invite for an interview, I would say that it is safe to assume a rejection. However, if it is a program that does not require an interview or one in which you did receive an interview invite, I would say do not lose hope yet! Acceptances/rejections/waitlists will continue throughout this month and even into April! Some schools send out acceptances and rejections in waves, some do it all at once. And you cannot completely discount potential trolls posting false information. If you are really concerned and it has been some time, I recommend reaching out to your POI or the school's admissions department to ask about any updates! Wishing you all the best; I know this whole time period is nerve-wracking!

They have a grad student housing website. I would start there. Also, you can always email them. Unless you are planning to move this summer, I would wait a bit with the Stanford housing situation because there might be drastic changes due to Covid/vaccines availability.

All you can do is wait for their reply! Hopefully you get some good news!

Also rejected. They say 80 applicants per application. Last year it was 75 per application. We did good for trying though. Fortune favors the bold?

Also didn't get it  oh well.. I'm sure there were so many applicants this time around especially. Don't be discouraged y'all! Hoping I at least get an acceptance from Stanford, that would be incredible.

It was a journey! I am happy for the opportunity I got and potentially go to Stanford in the fall.

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind if I rant a bit. I guess this entire cycle has just been really hard. I received my waitlist from BU (where I currently work, got my undergrad and masters degree from AND all of my recommendations were from faculty in the program...), and I'm just... sad I guess. Pretty much rejected from every other program (I am very fortunate to have one interview though). Like it just doesn't seem to make sense to work this hard (already for the institution I work for) and now I'm just sitting at my work desk like K, thanks. 
Sorry to take over and rant, but I just want to say if you're feeling down today I feel you and I know we will make it through but its okay to be a little sad. Virtual hugs all around! ❤️ 

Last year results were release at 1pm pst. So, I expect a time frame of noon-2pm. They might send an email tonight letting us know when to check.
It might be better to check at the end of the day, just to be safe!
