Good Afternoon,
I was recently waitlisted post interview at my top choice.
I have confirmed I would like to stay on the waitlist. I would like to stay relevant in my POIs mind.
What would anyone suggest emailing for a status update?

Hi, I am currently waitlisted at Fordham University for a forensic mentor. This is my absolute top choice. I have yet to see any acceptances to this program. Have unofficial offers gone out yet? Can you please message me if you are currently holding an offer and are still deciding, or what your current mindset it. Just so I can brace my self!

Is it proper to check in on a school about decisions?

I always recommend staying with a student even if you live close. This gives you additional insight into the program and the culture and many opportunities to ask questions.
They only have limited spots available to stay. Do you believe they would look at this as selfish?

Hi all! I was accepted for an interview inside a nearby city ( about an hour drive).a mass interview was sent and students have an option to stay with a graduate student.
I understand this is for those traveling from far away. Am i at a strong disadvantage to not ask for a host? Does it reflect poorly to spend the night before with the student?
I would like to be able to be remembered positively, and am afraid this one day interview does not give me enough time to make an impression vs. a student who may be coming from afar.

I'd say neutral, sounds like a general email letting you know the review process is continuing. But possibly positive given that it has made it to the chair?
That is what I am thinking as I look through google for a sign!

I have received this from one of my schools. Is this a good, bad or neutral sign?
"Your application has been reviewed and is awaiting a final evaluation by the Graduate Chair."
The name of the school is purposefully left out for now.

I am going for a PhD in clinical psychology. How are the admission data for GPA calculated? Is it overall GPA? or last school you had a gpa for for undergraduate work?
-
I am applying for psychology phd programs. I attended multiple universites as an undergraduate. I did very poorly until the last half of my 3rd. Ifinished from my 3rd school with a 3.7.
I have my masters with a 3.9.
How do schools look at undergrad, will they just focus on the last schools gpa? or overall?
That is to say i graduated the program with two bachelors with a 3.7
