Not necessarily, the email was very personalized from the POI herself and wasn't a mass from the grad school email. She seems to be going faster than others because from my talk with her it seemed like she was faster than most others in getting through her apps

UMass Amherst interview day will be Jan. 25th

Just got a formal invitation for "Interview Day" at UMass Amherst, but from the email it sounded more like a "recruitment day". PM for details if you'd like, I am applying under the developmental track.

I got an email from a PI that I reached out to expect a decision in the next few days..

Hopes that programs would send decisions out by Friday were too ambitious lol The wait continues my friends.

I got an email from the transcript services that Stanford still hasn’t retrieved my transcript from the link LOL ?

I submitted all my applications before Thanksgiving I didnt get an email. The PI said that they expect to give out formal decisions before XMas so we have some time

I should preface that every school except for Yale I applied to POIs responded to my emails so they probably were looking for my app

Just got a Skype interview with a PI from UMass Amherst!

Also it’s pretty well known in Dev Psych that most programs don’t interview - that is if you get invited to campus you’re basically in! Such a stark contrast to clinical psych you must feel bad for them haha

Trying to study for finals and finish stuff for my thesis but whenever I get a phone call in the middle of a lecture I go outside to take it only for it to be a student loan scam call from India .-.

Dev psych never gets any love even though we’re objectively the best speciality. My undergrad mentor always told me people think they’re clinical until they find out about dev psych haha We don’t have a thread let’s make one!
