Hey @ClayR, so I was initially sent an invitation for a skype interview (international applicant here) from Pitt for CPCB. The interview went really well (it was with the founder of the program surprisingly, who I had also mentioned in my SOP). Soon after that (literally hours later) I received another email from the Pitt coordinator stating that two other profs (who I had also mentioned in my SOP) would be interested in contacting me for a skype interview (each). I have already scheduled one of them this week. I was wondering if being "skype interviewed" by multiple profs is just a standard part of the application process and/or if there's something I can take back from this? Do you have any idea? CPCB is my first choice so I'm really excited (and kinda nervous) about all this! Thanks! I've had prior skype interviews for the CBB program in USC and generic rejections from pretty much everywhere else.
As far as I know, the program only conducts in-person interviews for students within North America. So, if you are outside NA, I would take it as a good sign. However, if you are from NA, I really can’t say with certainty, but I’d be inclined to say it’s not a good sign, as all in-person interview offers have been proffered to my knowledge.

My personal opinion is that you should reach out to them with any updates. I think it's very likely that you won't be accepted if you haven't heard anything yet, but it's worth some kind of shot. I recently reached out to a handful of schools with a new publication, so I am following my own advice

Does anybody know if at this point no news = implicit rejection from Princeton QCB and Harvard SysBio? Trying to decide if I should try to leverage my Fulbright semi-finalist standing.... probably not the greatest strategy, but if I have nothing to lose, maybe it’s worth a shot. Advice appreciated.

By CMU do you mean CMU-Pitt Comp Bio? If so, yes. I work with the director of the program (Pitt side) and invites won’t go out for another few weeks.

Has anybody heard from Princeton QCB after last Saturday? If they weren’t done yet with invites, I would have thought they would’ve resumed sending them already

It's probably difficult for you to tell, but did you get the sense that your invite was a mass email, or alternatively that they were still working their way down the list? Based on the results page, it seems like relatively few people have heard back so far. Is your name near the beginning of the alphabet?
I emailed the program administrator to ask if invites are still going out, will post response when I get it...

Interesting. Any idea what the Skype interview means? Seems uncommon, most schools just do in-person.
