Same here. Most of my schools have traditionally notified in the last week of January. I'm excited and terrified all at once.

i have not heard anything at all from USC but I will share with you one little link that I randomly found wednesday--buried within USC's website. Its a listing of deadlines even when to expect interviews...I wish all schools had this kind of link https://psych.sc.edu/internal/clinical-community-program-admission-criteria

I was rejected (yesterday) after a preliminary interview via skype/phone on Monday. And I thought my interview was splendid, we connected, and they told me I asked the right questions, had relevant research/clinical experience, and had a top application plus great LoR's... but they don't have the funding to take on another student. I have trouble believing they didn't already know their funding game before my interview, but thats the game of it all, its a big percentage of luck/time/who you know, so: I feel you, I thought I was in the bag with them, and then rugs pulled completely. It stings a ton, but honestly, everything happens for a reason. Humans adapt.

I emailed all of my programs to ask point blank. I told them that I work a job that requires a month's worth of availability ahead of time and I wanted to block out the dates just in case. (Which is true, I wasn't just making that up lol)

Is anyone starting to worry that the government shutdown and the TSA issues might mess up their interviews? I’m flying across the country for mine in less than two weeks and I’m starting to worry the shutdown will still be going on and everyone will be on strike by then!

I had two interviews today with one of my top choices for clinical psych grad programs, and I want to share what has really already been suggested here, but I want to reiterate because I don't think this link has been posted.... before interviews, you guys might want to check out this site! I pleasantly surprised my POI today in my interview for having knowledge of my preferred POI's current NIH grants as they werent listed on their website so Im assuming they guessed I really did do my research--I did, but to be very honest this website really helped! It really opens up a new game changer of potential questions you can ask your POI('s).

I’m sure it varies from program to program and school to school. My first interview (OSU’s IDD psych), I interviewed with 4 faculty out of the 5 core program faculty. I applied under 2 of them but they mentioned that they all interviewed candidates and determined best match after. It may very well be for this particular program since it’s a specialized program.
For my second interview (UofU’s school psych), I haven’t received a specific itinerary but based on the interview email, it looks like I will be interviewing with multiple faculty as well.
I think perhaps in these cases, the core faculty make the decision about admitting students into the program and the listed POIs decide whether to take on the student. Again, this may vary from program to program but this has been my experience thus far.
