Yes. In the email from Elmhurst, it told me that I was "among the group that we are most likely to contact about your interest in filling a place in our program just as soon as a place becomes available."

I'm an undergrad at SXU right now I know as of now 7 of the seniors submitted their deposit to SXU but I also know 2 declined who are also undergrad at SXU. I also read on a forum quite a few people declined their offers to attend SXU. I'm sure you'll get in!! There are a a lot of grad students at SXU who got accepted off the waitlist.

acslp got a reaction from SLP__2__B in George Washington University SLP
Hey everyone! I was waitlisted a few weeks ago by GWU. In their letter, they stated that they don't rank their waitlist, and instead they re-review their pool of waitlisted applicants. They also mentioned that applicants are welcome to submit additional letters of rec, transcripts, etc.. Has anyone done this? Would it help my chances? I really want to get in!
Also, if anyone has gotten off their waitlist please let me know if you did anything like send in stuff or they just contacted you after a couple of weeks.
    Thanks so much!!

Hi! I currently attend UDC's graduate SLP program. Tuition is definitely cheaper than most SLP programs...a true blessing. I LOVE the location...also a plus. This program throws you right into clinic...which makes sine because all of my classmates have previous experience of some sort. I'm guessing that's what they look for in students they admit. I think the poor graduation rates that you're referring to are because there were students that couldn't maintain the workload so they had to drop out. You have to be independent before you start this program...really know what you want and be ready to establish professional relationships. The administration is a bit behind in technology...which makes them look unorganized at times...the program really needs to transition into doing everything paperless. But the thing is, most of the professors are still practicing and don't have the time to "go paperless" if that makes sense. Their focus is about getting ready for the externships and networking for you. Year 1 is stressful and a HOT MESS but everything will fall into place and make sense right around your first summer session. CONFIDENCE is key and will take you far in this program. If you turn red when you're given corrective criticism and lose your mind when you're put on the spot, this program isn't for you.
