Apparently only 10 applicants were chosen for this, which gives me hope... but I’m not sure what the class size is. I have also been waitlisted at UofT. Hey! The on-campus program takes about 70 students from what I have read in previous threads. Students have until april 21 to accept the offer so  the waitllist may move up soon! Hang in there

Hey! I am only in my first year of the two year program, so can't speak to the whole thing as we are just finishing up term 2/3 for first year. But for the first semester, we had class three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with packed days, but Mondays and Fridays off. Definitely seems like a dream schedule, and it is helpful because you will need it for the work load! It is a lot but manageable if you put the time into it with the free days you're given. 

Second semester we have had placement from Monday-Wednesday, and classes Thursday and Friday. More physically exhausting for sure.

For our third term placement is now increasing to Monday-Thursday and classes on Fridays. 

For placement, they offer them all around in many different cities so you may be able to get one close to your current home. I know many people who only rented a place from September-December then moved back home once placement started, and only commuted on class days. (I am not one of them so I can't speak to how that is - I personally like being near the campus so I am near both school libraries, the school gym, professors for help, and classmates to study/take a break with).

Thank you for taking the time to answer this question, I really appreciate it  I am so conflicted about moving out vs. driving down to Kitchener haha. Your reply was very helpful!!! I also just wanted to know what course load looks like for the first semester. How long are those days from tuesday- thursday? (Like a 9-5?) Many thanks Nicole!

I could not agree more. I applied for the 2 year program last year and they did not tell me I got rejected (aka it continued to say 'under consideration') until July which is real late.

I'm wondering the same thing for the 2-year program! It still says "under consideration" I'd rather they stated "rejected" just so I have an answer haha

Hey don’t lose hope just yet! There are 21 days from offer of admission to accept the offer of admission! I’m sure the waitlist will start moving after April 21

Hi all, 

For anyone that has been accepted to the 2 year on campus program at Laurier, do you know what the rough schedule would be like? Would we have class everyday? I am trying to plan out my finances and was considering driving there from Toronto depending on how many times a week I would be on campus...any input would be helpful

From my understanding, based on last year's thread, it was the wait for acceptance into the program! :(

When I was accepted to the advance standing program at Laurier all my funding was listed on LORIS when I clicked on my application and the acceptance showed up. There is also a student awards and financial aid tab on LORIS and when you click view my student aid/funding it lists my scholarships. I am lead to believe the funding is offered as soon as you see your acceptance. 

I am dumb and didn't even know about OGS or the deadlines for it. Hahaha.

I also have a quick question.. if I accept the 2 year on campus Laurier offer.. would i no long be considered for the 2 year- online MSW @ Laurier ?

Hi all,

long time lurker! 

I have been accepted to the 2 year on campus program at Laurier! I was rejected from U of T and lost hope.. and received an acceptance email from Laurier, which was my first choice initially!! Still waiting on York however, and the online Laurier MSW... but the reality of leaving my full time job and returning to school is slowly hitting me. ?

Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back and congrats to anyone that already has! Don’t give up hope just yet! I didn’t think I’d get accepted after that constant refreshing of ACORN to only be rejected from U of T.   Sending positive vibes to you all xo
