  1. Thank you! Just Art History for me!
  2. @anitazia yes! Would love to connect with fellow Courtauld admits!
  3. Congrats on your interview! Did you apply to Columbia's PhD or MA program?
  4. I'm currently applying to several art history MA programs, and while most ask for one 15-20 page writing sample, one of them asks for "two research papers from undergraduate studies." I have taken a chapter from my senior thesis and formatted the intro/conclusion/necessary information to make a coherent research paper, but now I don't know what to do for the second writing sample. Should I frame another chapter from my thesis as a stand-alone research paper, or revise one of my research papers from another art history undergrad course -- written with much less supervision and revision. Thank you for any help or advice on this question!!

  6. I haven't heard anything either! I'm assuming if they are doing interviews it will have to be soon since their notification deadline is Dec 18. I'll stay posted on here if I get any updates!
  7. I reached out to the woman who interviewed for the Emily K. Rafferty internship (my interview was over a month ago...?) last Thursday asking if the internship was still a possibility due to COVID, and I still haven't heard back. Not expecting good news at this point, considering what someone posted about already receiving an offer, but also slightly hopeful since that was for MuSe and this is the 12-month internship. Is anyone on here that has already heard back about the 12-month?
  8. Hi all! Sending a quick update on Met internships... I applied to Emily K. Rafferty twelve-month internship program as well as MuSe, and I received an interview for the EKR one on March 10. I interviewed on March 16 and was told that I'd be notified by early April. Not sure what the state of the internship program is at the moment. I know that Guggenheim cancelled their summer internship program, and the Whitney (which I interviewed for and was supposed to have a second-round interview) notified me that they're deferring final decisions until they have more updates on the state of the Museum's reopening. Hope this helps some people. Sending my best wishes to you all during this scary time!
  9. Thank you so much for your reply -- that's very helpful. After recent meetings with one of my advisors, I've decided I'm going to take time off after graduation, maybe work at an entry level job or in restaurants, and then apply to PhD programs next fall. I received candid advice to forgo a Masters program and apply directly to PhD programs, as I am writing a thesis that can be used in lieu of a Masters thesis. I also want to try to avoid acquiring debt, so a funded program is my preferred option. If you don't mind my asking, what PhD program are you in and how are you liking it so far?
  10. Stumbled across this forum in the midst of a search for general guidance about what to do after I graduate college next May. I am currently a summer intern at MoMA, so although I am extremely blessed to have landed this opportunity, I am -- in my usual nature -- anxious about next steps. Colleagues have told me that I should reach out in January and ask for help with job opportunities, or some have told me to take the summer off after graduation and wait until August to begin the search, as less graduates will be on the job hunt at that time. I have considered many different tracks -- i.e., taking the GRE next summer so I could be prepared to apply for MA programs, or spending a year teaching in France (I am an Art History and French major). I was wondering if anyone has any advice about initiatives I can take in the coming months to help this job search or begin to narrow down the routes I could take after graduating. Thank you!!
