  1. If you live in Toronto that's super convenient! I live in Hamilton and I don't know if I want to deal with commuting constantly. However, it will most likely be moved online for the fall. I also am not a huge fan with Ryerson's courses because it's heavily critical, which is good but I feel like I need more clinical learning now. Really, my main pro for Ryerson is the funding. It's so hard to make a decision!
  2. Thank you! I just graduated with my BSW in April from Laurier. I have volunteered at a non-profit since 2017, worked at a retirement home for 4 years and had placements at St Joseph's Healthcare and Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. In terms of research, I worked as a research assistant for one of my professors last summer as well acted as a "research apprentice" where I developed a study on gentrification/homelessness. I really think research experiences helps build MSW applications & if you're interested you could email some professors and ask them if they are looking for any help with their studies. That's what I did last year, because I knew I was going to be applying to MSW's and knew it was going to be quite competitive. It really paid off for me in the end. When are you planning on applying?
  3. I'm in the Advanced Standing (non working professional) stream at Windsor. I received my offer in early February. Good luck to you!
  4. I'm in the same situation as you! I just got offered the 15K today at Ryerson right when I accepted my offer to Windsor. The only thing I worry about with Ryerson is the MRP. What are your pros and cons for Ryerson?
  5. I was wondering if anyone who has graduated from Ryerson's MSW program could offer me any insight as to how the program was/how they liked it, I'm struggling to make a decision about where I should go. Thank you!
  6. Hey, I’m not too sure, but I would imagine that there would would be due dates for assignments and for lectures you would do whenever you could!
  7. No for Renison's Advanced Standing program!
  8. For those still waiting for the Waterloo full-time program, I emailed admissions and they told me that all decisions will be out within the next couple of weeks
  9. Congrats on your acceptance to u of t, and thank you!!
  10. I know one person that has been accepted to Laurier's advanced standing program, but I also haven't heard back regarding even a waitlist, so I'm not sure what's going on
  11. Has anyone been accepted to the full-time advanced standing at Waterloo yet? I've seen some people accepted to the part-time program, but not to the full time one yet!
  12. Just got a call from Ryerson and got in!!
  13. I applied to Mac and am first on the wait list, what about you?
  14. It is my first year applying! I'll be graduating with my BSW in April lol, super nervous because I know how competitive MSW's are
  15. Thanks so much! Should hear soon then
