Also, to give hope to some of you, my friend just got word this morning and won a CGS-D. So not all rejections today!

Thank you!!! It’s a bummer but at the same time.... oh well ?. I’m sure I’ll be rejected many times in my career, gotta start somewhere LOL. And Ugh... fingers crossed for you!!!

I received my login at this afternoon and was notified within the following hours that had been awarded a CGS-D!

Hi Everyone...I just got my results and was lucky enough to receive a CGS-D SSHRC...I'm sharing more details about my experience in case it's of help to you all ❤️ I'm a direct applicant (Year 1 / Ontario / Committee 4)...I got my username and password yesterday around 1PM EST, in that email it said I will get an email when my results are posted...this morning at 11AM I logged into extranet and saw my results (even though I didn't get an email that my results were posted). When I opened it, I saw that I had been successful. I just wanted to say to you all, I can relate to the rollercoaster everyone is feeling right now...regardless of what happens with the outcome of this result, all your research is so so important...SSHRC as an institution is another western meritocratic institution which tends to privilege some CV elements over others...and so to all of us who are receiving this fellowship, let us celebrate but also reflect on this privilege, and for those of our peers who may not get as lucky, I just want to reach out and say your research is so important and it matters and it will go on to change lives regardless of this fellowship ❤️  Take good care everyone ❤️ Stay safe and wishing you the best!

Just received this from my school's awards department. This is the information they received from SSHRC:
Due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, SSHRC has put in place a new process to communicate results to applicants. This includes a new platform: the SSHRC Extranet for Applicants. This secure site will allow applicants to access the results of their SSHRC funding applications. Applicants will receive, via email, information on how to activate their account on the site. Once the result documents have been uploaded, applicants will receive a subsequent email inviting them to view the results.
We will begin rolling the results out in waves beginning tomorrow morning. All results should be available to students by end of day, Friday, May 1st.

Got an email at 3:57 p.m. to check my grad portal for UAlberta.  Please confirm I'm not dreaming!?!  I got accepted into UAlberta's SCCP MEd program!!!!!  I'm SO happy!  I've been working toward this goal for a long time.  This is the happiest day of my life!!!!!  Though, just last night I realized I had an error in my statement of intent.  I somehow said I wanted to work and live in the field of SCCP; I had a good laugh over it.  I do think, to some extent, academics "live" in their fields anyways.  I think I will tour the UAlberta campus before accepting just to really, really make sure that's where I want to be (especially because I'm either going to have rent or sell my house in Calgary now), but I plan to release my UCalgary MSc SACP offer in a week or two.

Got my official offer via email today for UCalgary's MSc in School & Applied Child Psych!  The deadline to accept is March 7, so I do hope I hear from UAlberta and OISE before then, so I can make an informed final decision.

York Update: I got invited to the Open House, it takes place on February 14th. I received the invite directly from my POI. If anyone else is going, send me a message!

Hello everyone!
It's been a little quiet on the Canadian clinical thread so I thought I would give it a little bump to keep it relevant for January (and on the first page ) .
I finally managed to get all my ducks (and references :)) ) in a row and applied to a final list of 9 clinical psych programs and 1 master's with strong research training.
To my surprise, the master's program moved quite swiftly and I had in very short order an informal email chat, then an interview and finally an offer  All in the span of about 10 days. I still can't believe it. 
This is my second year applying and hopefully I have learned some useful lessons from last year
Enough babbling. I am looking forward to being with you all for this new app season and hope things will remain as supportive and as positive as they have been in the past.
