  1. Unless people are posting results for the *specific* program you applied for, it doesn’t mean anything. Try to stay positive! I’m telling this to myself too
  2. I got a call from Weill Cornell inviting me to interview for IMP, but they said most invites will go out with the official emails in the next few weeks. I still haven’t gotten an email so I assume they’re not done reviewing apps
  3. I also got this email a few weeks after submitting my app, I think they just prefer to send out personal confirmations rather than the automated ones. Not good or bad news:)
  4. Thank you! I haven't heard back from Sackler yet, the only ones I've heard from are highlighted in blue. Sorry for any confusion! And yes I applied to biomedical sciences
  5. Update: Heard back from Hopkins UW Genome Sciences/Immuno/MCB UBC M&I NYU Sackler/GSAS Harvard Immunology/SSQB UC Berkeley Comp Bio Yale BBS Stanford Biosciences UChicago Biological Sciences UMich PIBS (Immunology) Northwestern IBiS UCSF BMI Weill Cornell IMP [Interview 12/12] Tri-Instiutional Comp Bio Johns Hopkins Immunology [Interview 12/13] UPenn GCB UCSD Biomedical Sciences MIT CSB A lot of these are immunology programs, but I think they're still somewhat relevant here because I applied with a specific computational focus highlighted in my SOP (I'm a CS major with a life sciences minor)
  6. For immunology yes, don't know about any other programs or if they're done! At yale and UPenn I applied to immuno rather than comp bio, sorry if I scared anyone
  7. I applied to the immunology graduate group at Yale+ I've already seen people getting invites--I have no idea about CBB, didn't mean to scare anyone!
  8. Update- Just heard back from my first program today! Here's my current status: UW Genome Sciences/Immuno/MCB UBC M&I NYU Sackler/GSAS Harvard Immunology/SSQB UC Berkeley Comp Bio Yale BBS Stanford Biosciences UChicago Biological Sciences UMich PIBS (Immunology) Northwestern IBiS UCSF BMI Weill Cornell IMP [Interview 12/12] Tri-Instiutional Comp Bio Johns Hopkins Immunology UPenn GCB UCSD Biomedical Sciences MIT CSB It seems like Yale and UPenn have already sent out invites for the programs I applied to, so I assume they're both "no"s for me, but that's okay
  9. Based on last year's thread: It looks like schools will start contacting people next week. I know one or two places already have but they seem to be in the minority.
  10. I didn't hear anything from UPenn either, I think Stanford might have gone out today as well (not sure) but radio silence! Aaaaahh..
  11. Has anyone heard anything yet? Or will they probably not get back to people until next week?
  12. Hey all! I'm glad there's a thread for this year, the one from last year was super helpful I'm applying to a mix of biosciences and computational/systems bio programs, my undergrad is a CS major and microbiology & immunology minor. I applied to a lot of programs, maybe too many, but it'll all be worth it if I get even one interview right? Here's my list, I'll do my best to update it as I hear back for those who are curious. I've coded the life sciences programs as yellow and computational programs as orange. School Program University of Washington Genome Sciences University of Washington Immunology University of Washington Molecular and Cellular Biology UBC Microbiology & Immunology NYU Biomedical sciences (Sackler) NYU Biology (GSAS) Harvard Immunology Harvard Systems, Synthetic, and Quantitative Biology UC Berkeley Computational Biology Yale Biological & Biomedical Sciences Stanford Biosciences-Immunology, MBIM, Systems & Chemical Biology UChicago Biological Sciences- Immuno + Systems University of Michigan Immunology Northwestern Integrated Biological Sciences UCSF Biological and Medical Informatics Weill Cornell Immunity & Microbial Pathogenesis Tri-Instiutional (Cornell, Rockefeller, Sloan-Kettering) Computational Biology Johns Hopkins Immunology UPenn Immunology UCSD Biomedical Sciences MIT Computational and Systems Biology
