So about Yale. I heard back from my POI. She got 400+ applications for her alone and she said I was 4th in line for an invite but that she decided to invite 3 people and she sent out those invites last week. SOOOO frustrating to be so close! Shed a few tears over this one. Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone heard from Clark University?

Just emailed my POI at Yale (who I have had pretty extensive contact with in person and over zoom so I felt comfortable doing this) if all interview invites have been extended. I'll post when they respond! Gosh I'm so nervous. This is my top program and has been for years and I know they received 1,000+ applications to the Clinical Psych program - YIKES!

I've seen a couple of posts on the results page about Yale but just wondering if anyone knows if they've extended all the interview invites and if not, what their expecteed timeline is? Especially JJ. Thanks!

I applied to Fordham and haven't heard about if I got an interview but they sent out an email saying if you got an interview you'll know by January 19th

As expected (for me), I did not get any offers this round. I was applying to go straight out of undergrad though and only applied to 3 schools knowing it was a long shot. But I have two questions for future applications cycles. I am looking at clinical psych research positions for next year (I think I'll be working at Yale) and am wondering if I should apply for a PhD programs this coming Fall to attend in Fall 2021? That would mean I would take the research job (which is a one-year contract and built for people trying to get their PhD one day), work there for a year, then do a PhD the next year. My concern with this option is that any letter of recommendation from there they'll only know me as an RA from July 1 until writing their letter in November at the latest. That's barely five months. Should I work there for a full year and THEN apply so that they'll be able to say they've worked with me for a year and a half? My other question is should I retake the GRE? I have the time to study but don't know if my scores warrant a retake. My scores were: 159 on Quant (70th percentile) , 164 on Verbal (92nd Percentile, and 94th Percentile on writing. Should I try to bring up my math score? Is it worth the money? Thanks everyone.

Hate hate hate to say it but the Registrar of the psychology department just emailed me back saying interview invites were extended yesterday

All I've heard is of one person getting an invite to the in person interview after a Skype interview with their POI in mid December. If anyone knows anything else, please message me or comment. We're very impatiently waiting over here haha

Thank you... this helped me a lot. As an applicant with below the necessary research experience in my opinion, and with little hope of acceptance or even interviews, I want to thank you for your uplifting words. I hope everyone here can remember them.

I still haven't seen anything on here about anyone hearing from Yale! Has anyone? Also the person who posted on the results page that looked like they got a Yale interview but then just wrote "Has anyone heard from Yale" just about gave me a heart attack hahah!

I just submitted my last application to my top school... how long should I be prepared to wait to hear about getting an interview or not?

Hello! I'm wondering if someone can give me an idea on if I have ANY chance at all. Here are my credentials/stats: I'm applying to go straight out of undergraduate Undergraduate School: Umass Amherst GPA: 3.795 GRE: Verbal 164 (94 percentile) / Quant 159 (70 percentile) / Writing 5.0 (92 percentile) 1.5 years in Neurocognition and Perception Laboratory at UMass - worked extensively as RA on one project that was published but did not get authorship 1 additional year doing research for honors thesis that will hopefully be published with myself as first author 2 years as paraprofessional for kids with autism 4 strong letters of recommendation - 1 from thesis director, 1 from professor that I TA'd for, 2 from supervisors as a Paraprofessional (some only allow 3 letters though) Strong (I think) personal statements with very strong interest in specific professors research (but no DIRECT experience in those fields - my research was in auditory and language perception while I want to work with emotion regulation as it relates to psychopathology and autism) Schools I'm applying to in order of preference based on specific PI's research: Yale with J.J. as PI UMass Boston with A.E. as PI UMass Amherst with A.G. as PI Boston University with S.H. as PI University of Connecticut with M.B. as PI Harvard with K.M. as PI Clark University with W.G. as PI I'm almost done with all my applications but should I have EXTREMELY low expectations in terms of interview and offers based on my credentials?
