  1. Congrats to all! Such an exciting time! I will be making this summer about me by creating a list and doing many of the things I've wanted to do like plan a few trips and spend time with family. I have some PTO from my full time job to use up before I leave, so what a perfect way to spend it. Which brings me to a question for you all: If you are currently employed, when are planning to tell your employer that you will be leaving? Unfortunately my direct supervisor does know that I applied to schools. I asked an indirect supervisor to be a letter writer in confidence and unfortunately that confidence was broken and my direct supervisor found out I was applying. My relationship with my direct supervisor has been tense ever since as I feel I am being written out of my job already, though there was no guarantee I was leaving. I plan on working until early August but I don't want to be pushed out before then, so I'm hesitant of informing anyone too far in advance. Not exactly sure what to do here.
  2. School: Ball State University Type of Program: School Psychology PhD Acceptance Date: 2/14/2020 So excited! The neuropsychology cognate is exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait!
  3. 100% right there with you! I had an interview almost 2 weeks ago and have been frequently refreshing my email waiting for the results. Patience has never been easy for me, so the past few weeks have been especially restless. I'm doing my best not to ruminate on the interview and keep myself from compulsively checking email, but it's not easy. I find myself repeating the phase "whatever will be, will be." Hang in there, everyone!
  4. Well, honestly not every well lol, but I'm just trying to keep myself busy. I'm getting a lot knocked off my to-do list at work and around the house, but I'm definitely checking my email every few minutes. I just keep reminding myself that what is meant to be will be. If it doesn't work out, I have a backup plan. Definitely a taxing time, but hang in there!
  5. Yessss... I feel this 100%. Had an interview 1/31 and this has been the most painfully slow week ever. Really having trouble focusing this week!
  6. Trying not to panic. I submitted my app to Kent State yesterday and the app states it's missing my GRE scores though I sent them back in May when I took it. I hope it won't be considered late because it took a while to connect my GRE scores with my app. Should I email admissions about the issue?
  7. Hi all, I submitted my application to Ball State University today, but I didn't realize that the only way you can submit supplemental materials like your statement of purpose, CV and a writing sample is through an online portal that you will get access 1 to 2 business days after the submission of the general application. The problem is that there aren't any business days left before the deadline! My supplemental materials will be submitted late! I emailed admissions and the department of interested with the supplemental documents attached and explained that I will not have access to the online portal before the December 1 deadline. Is there anything else I can do? How screwed am I?
