Just booked 3 trips! One to NYC to check out my new city for the first time next week, a trip with my siblings to Miami where one of them lives, and the other to Vegas for a week in July! I’m 22 and have never lived outside of my state for more than 3 months. Really trying to spend as much time with my family as possible. 
 
So yeah, I got a little too excited after my acceptance and decided to drain my bank account because “self care” lol. Oh well, YOLO. 

Has anyone heard anything from Fordham for clinical? It is coming up on four weeks since my interview!

this is so cute and i love this! honestly i think gradcafe is a really positive community (at least the psych forum - can't really speak to the rest) and just having something to check everyday so i can see everyone's progress and see that i wasn't alone has really helped me throughout this process!!
like you said, i think that regardless what happens we all should be proud of how much work we've been able to balance throughout this process - i know i had a tough time towards deadlines because i had thesis drafts and research proposals due at the same time, but it was my last semester. i can't imagine how stressful it is to plan interview travel around school, but i know you guys will all get it worked out perfectly and learn things about yourself in the process! to quote jurassic park, "life finds a way" and you will too. Whether this application season, the next, or if you decide to take a totally different route all-together, I hope we all end up somewhere doing something we're passionate about with people we love.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS AHHHH!

I applied to the clinical program at U Pitt and received an email last night from SCB (my POI) that she was not extending any invites because there was a possibility her and her lab would be relocating to another university. In the email she stated that a lot of applications are still under review. Hope this helps!

I can't give you any reasons, as I wasn't there obviously. It could be a matter of preference on the profs part (ie. something about your personality didn't fit his) or maybe he had other prelim phone interviews that went so well that you ended up cut just based on number of other qualified applicants. Maybe you got the prof on a bad day. Maybe it really was your answers to those questions. Who knows. 
 
The only thing I can offer you is some empathy. I also had a prelim phone interview that I thought went really well, only to not be offered an in-person interview. I did exactly what you're doing now - went over everything I said and asked myself, "was my response to this question what tanked me?". It's such a stressful process and we have so much riding on it. It becomes very easy to blame ourselves, I think because it gives us some modicum of control. Easier to tell yourself you did something wrong (and can improve), then to admit your future is a roll of the dice. 
 
I'm sorry if that's not very helpful. There really isn't much closure in the grad school process. 

- Notre Dame FYI -    From the graduate studies coordinator: Each of the faculty are going at their own pace. They will likely be conducting interviews through the beginning of February as the recruitment event is at the end of February.

Good luck to everyone! I deduced that I received 0 invites this cycle and will try my best for the next cycle. For those with even just a single interview, know that hundreds of applicants would die to be in your shoes. I'm a bit heartbroken (0 invites from 10+ applications), but also have the foresight and resilience to get through another year. I'm just happy I get to finally take off these worry pants and go back to the focused grind.

Those who received invites / waitlists from UBC/UBCO, were these mass emails or private contacts?

Hi! So just curious, for those who posted they were waitlisted by UBC, did you have interviews before you were waitlisted? And how did you receive that news? Also to confirm, this is UBC V not O right?

Has anyone heard back from UCSD/SDSU? Or have insight into their timeline? Thanks!

I saw one post on the results page for it mid week last week but otherwise have not heard. Would love to hear from anyone who has! I reached out to the P.I. today to check in on applications

Hi Everyone!
I saw some interview invites for the SDSU/UCSD joint PhD clinical program (15 Jan). From what I can tell from previous years, the invites tended to be two days apart or so- and that's it. Should I just give up all hope? What do you think? :( 

Just did. Said that they sent out their first round, but that they might send more out depending on response rate. Wouldn't get my hopes up any more than in other cases.
