  1. Did you happen to get accepted? I'm waitlisted and likely going somewhere else but I've been super curious about their funding since I couldn't find any info for the MA funding on the website.
  2. I was told they had 150 applicants and could only accept like 8 this year so don't get down! It was competitive and you never know what will happen.
  3. I submitted my materials in early January. I've heard back from all but one school which makes me believe that one school will just be a rejection since it looks like other people have been accepted.
  4. I got an email today asking if I was still interested and saying that initial decisions and meetings would be coming out shortly. I’ve been in contact with this professor for a while so idk if this is an “official” reaching out to plan on an interview or if it was just a courtesy to update where they are in the process.
  5. I think that your experience is helpful for sure because you can better articulate your interests and have experience that may help you form a thesis/choose a practicum. I would say you should apply to both clinical PsyD's and Masters. Just make sure you know why you want to go on to grad school and what your end goal is because both of those types of programs typically don't have much or any funding. As far as your experiences boosting you over someone with no experience- depends on the program. Lots of places value research experience and don't expect much on the way of clinical hours. If you were looking at a master's in social work or counseling however, clinical experience might mean more. So ask yourself what your end goal is, what these programs prioritize insofar as stats/work history, and if you would benefit more from gaining more work experience or going into one of these programs next year.
  6. Hey all! I'm applying to 3 masters right now and I hate this waiting part. I got waitlisted at Wake Forest last year and I was number out of 9 accepted students for William and Mary so we're trying it again! I'm applying to SDSU, William and Mary, and University of Dayton. Wishing all of you luck!
  7. I'm on 2 waitlists right now and after so many rejections and no acceptances I feel like I'm going crazy. I was called by the program director of my top school saying she wanted to admit me but there were only 9 spots and I'm number 10 on the list. Shes still waiting on 3 people to make a decision (who apparently all never even responded to their offer to acknowledge it?) and doesn't even know if their acceptances will be rescinded after the 15th to allow her to offer me admission. So frustrated and not sure how to cope
  8. I reached out to my POI at William and Mary who informed me some offers have already been extended and I was told I was an alternate unofficially. So we should be finding out more soon.
  9. Hey I’m still waiting to hear back from both of these schools as well.
  10. wow thanks, I actually decided not to apply before seeing this so I'm glad I didn't waste my money!
  11. No official rejection, I just assumed since the interviews were sent in a mass email.
  12. Hey all need advice about a phone interview with College of William and Mary. I believe they only do phone interviews and none in person. Can anyone give advice on how to prepare or what to expect?
  13. It also depends on where you apply, my list of schools I'm pretty sure I've been rejected by now but there's schools that notify significantly later than others. My first round applying too, gotta stay positive! Most people I've talked to didn't get in first try.
  14. I graduated college in December and applied to 5 clinical neuropsych programs... haven't gotten an interview, losing hope, maybe overestimated my research experience. I'm now also applying to Masters at William and Mary, Wake Forest, and University of Dayton. GPA: 3.766 GRE: 161V, 156Q Majored in psychology, minored in neuroscience. 4 semesters on a cognition/memory research team in which I presented as second author at EPA in NYC 1 summer doing independent research in developmental neurobiology (retinal neural regeneration). I won a scholarship for this to be funded (kind of like an REU). 1 semester of independent study on arousal and recognition memory. 1 semester of introductory lab practices in behavioral neuroscience, which involved IACUC approval to work with rodents. I also have 6 semesters as a teaching assistant, 4 semesters as a peer tutor in biology, psychology, french, and statistics, and I took chemistry and upper level bio classes. Research match seems fairly decent for all schools.
