OMG wow congrats! No news on this end. Unsurprising but I'm still heartbroken. I was really, really, really excited about this one.

Yeah it seems that in the past, Harvard BBS sends out all invites on the same day... so we shouldn't start worrying too much until more people start posting that they received an interview

I saw it too and my heart dropped. I think it might be worthwhile to wait a bit though, since its just one poster. Plenty of trolls around these parts.

Update: I got my first interview yesterday for Penn State's BMMB program. I'm really excited and I hope this is the first of many!

Don't wanna do anything except refreshing my mail page and this thread.

Hi all, I am from South Asia with some research experience in the UK. I applied to Harvard BBS, UPenn BMB and Vanderbilt Biological Sciences. All are lofty reaches but if you never try you never know I guess. Hoping this week has good news in store for all of us so we can relax over Christmas!

I don't think anyone has heard from BBS. The post on the results page seem to be for some other program. From the dates on the page from the last few years it seems like Harvard sends domestic and international invitations around the same time.

Im at the "Ill take what I can get" stage so I don't think this will cross my mind unless I get more than 1 acceptance haha

You're not the only one, it's pretty early so I'm trying not to be too worried. Sending you lots of positivity! 

I always think that when its me its going to be the worst case scenario but when others are in the same boat I have literally no doubt its going to work out great for them, how could it not? ?

I'm torn. I do think that it's early to be receiving notice, but I'm also nervous since certain programs have already started to contact applicants. I applied to UMich PIBS/Neuro, UNC BBSP/Neuro, Emory Neuro, UMinn NGP, Mount Sinai BMS/Neuro (I currently work here), and UConn P&N. Also considering Temple (their app is due in Feb.)

Fret not, last minute panic is the cure to all meandering distractions, haha. Def prepare for interviews, I'm sure there is a barrage of invitations just around the corner
Thats really cool, its a very hot and spicy field too! I think your enthusiasm definitely comes through, and its a very important factor to be able to see a PhD through. I am sure your top choices will be able to see it!
 
3 in the US, but 10 in total. Only five submitted so far but kinda like you I am busy daydreaming about skipping down the places I have applied to instead of focusing on my upcoming applications ?

Same here!! I keep thinking about the BBS program all day and all night ? I’m so passionate about the program and the research there that I’m praying my SOP reflects my enthusiasm. I’m banking on Harvard’s ability to see potential and take a risk on some people rather than other unis’ hardline qualifications. That’s why I didn’t apply to too many top tier unis anyway.
I really hope all of our dreams come true! And yeah I’ll keep you updated for sure! I do know that Harvard’s decisions come in late next week or early the week after so I shouldn't be checking my inbox all the time ? I’m honestly praying for a miracle. 
Also what’s your field of interest by the way? 

I ended up applying to everywhere I had initially planned: Two programs at JHU, Pitt, Ohio State, UMD, and Penn State. I know that at least Pitt will send out interview notices shortly after Christmas, so it's nice to have some kind of timeline. I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. 

I keep checking my email too ? lets hope there is some good news waiting one of these days! Good luck!
