They do have a beautiful newer residence that would be more ideal if you’re wanting to live on campus.  However, from what I recall, the showers were more communal style and the meal plan was mandatory, so there’s definitely trade offs for being in a newer building.  I think it’s wise to start looking early if you end up going there.  The campus gardens are all amazing, and as for off-campus gardens, I highly recommend going to check out the Butchart Gardens at some point.  Whale watching was fun too.  Pizzaria Prima Strada was sooooo good, and The Pink Bicycle was a great place too.

Got an email at 3:57 p.m. to check my grad portal for UAlberta.  Please confirm I'm not dreaming!?!  I got accepted into UAlberta's SCCP MEd program!!!!!  I'm SO happy!  I've been working toward this goal for a long time.  This is the happiest day of my life!!!!!  Though, just last night I realized I had an error in my statement of intent.  I somehow said I wanted to work and live in the field of SCCP; I had a good laugh over it.  I do think, to some extent, academics "live" in their fields anyways.  I think I will tour the UAlberta campus before accepting just to really, really make sure that's where I want to be (especially because I'm either going to have rent or sell my house in Calgary now), but I plan to release my UCalgary MSc SACP offer in a week or two.

Got an offer from McMaster today! Shocked because we had interviews just this past weekend, but also absolutely ecstatic!

Got my official offer via email today for UCalgary's MSc in School & Applied Child Psych!  The deadline to accept is March 7, so I do hope I hear from UAlberta and OISE before then, so I can make an informed final decision.

The waiting is the worst part for me, especially because I can't  make any plans for my life in the next year until I know where I'll be. Does anyone have tips for getting your mind off of it or dealing with that?
I'm finding it especially hard right now  because I still have an interview that I'm preparing for, so it's not like I can push it completely aside.
I know that no matter what happens I will be okay, but the uncertainty sucks. Do you guys feel like this? Or how are you coping?

My POI informed me that the admissions committee will be meeting next week (or the week after) to make preliminary decisions. Applicants that move on to the next phase will be invited for another Skype interview to assess fit for clinical work (which will likely happen in the 1st or 2nd week of Feb)

I received a second email from a POI/prospective supervisor at UCalgary regarding the MSc in School & Applied Child Psyc.  The email stated I’d be receiving a letter in the mail from their grad program in the next few weeks.  Hopefully I’ll also hear back soon with good news from the other schools I applied to.?
