I got a letter from McGull just now "On behalf of the Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University, I am pleased to recommend to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office that you be admitted to the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program for the 2020- 21 academic year."

Does this mean I am good?

    congrats

I suppose, but I think then you'd miss out on the co-op program. Also, the workload might be a bit hefty.

EDIT: Missed the question about how many classes per semester. I believe the standard is 3. Obviously they're a little more intensive than undergrad classes, but there's also the issue of TAships and RAships that take up a lot of time and energy in their own right.

Do you know if they set a limit as to how many you can take? Or what is the minimum to be considered a full-time student.

Does anyone who applied to Munk know how to access acorn with their applicant number? Last year, applicants could assume that they were accepted by logging in and seeing that they were 'invited' -- around like March 12ish... I thought I'd ask because I'm impatient lol

You need your student number which is in the application summary on the application website plus you need your JOINid. When you have that use it to register then you can use acorn

Exactly! I accepted the offer for GSPIA, but I'm hoping Munk replies soon! although the price of the program is throwing me off a bit! Just wish they could keep up with NPSIA and GSPIA

I got NPSIA today which is my preference over GSPIA so now my clock is reset for Munk.

This is surprising considering their deadline is earlier.

GSPIA already handed their first round of admissions early this month. I received my offer on the 14th. Some heard a few days before me. Munk is gonna start Mid March as their website states. From previous threads, it usually starts around March 7th. Good Luck!

This is my worry I have 5 more days to decide on GSPIA but Munk won't even send things out till mid march. I wonder why they do it that way

It's between npsia and lse for me. I'm also deciding on whether to leave my job - but the goal is to work for global affairs in Ottawa and npsia is amazing for that!!

    How about you

LSE is great, I am from London, it is an amazing city. Are you concern about the cost of it all in London. Are you leaning one way or another?

I am debating between Munk and NPSIA, I applied to GSPIA as a back up but the French requirement was a concern for me.

What is your current job if you don't mind me asking?

Yep it said funding info will come along with the official offer. Really curious because it could literally be any amount - I've read in previous forums some people get a few thousand while others essentially get over 10k.

yeah I got simular information informtion. I wonder if it matter which specilaization we got into. I think I am more curious which one I got.

Are you pick between NPSIA and somewhere else?

  8. Hey evryone, I got into the GSPIA with funding and MIPP in BSIA.

The only thing that concerns me about GSPIA is that there is the French component; where we have to take a course in French. Do you guys have any insight on how much French we need to know for it. Do you know if they provide the aid of some form.
