  1. Submitted for round 2. Waitlisted last year; high hopes for this year.
  2. Because it's Systems Plus. This is the same company that administered the SFFP program (https://afsffp.sysplus.com/) last year, and the week they were supposed to submit all of the reports to AFOSR, they did server maintenance and accidentally wiped everything and had to have us resubmit everything. Rob Ross is a good dude, don't get me wrong, but the company as a whole is a bit, shall we say, disorganized.
  3. From what I recall asking this question last year, this is correct. You would put it under PhD transcripts. I submitted an unofficial transcript that showed a zero GPA since it had all of the courses listed, but obviously no grades yet since my first term still wasn't done, and I got as far as waitlist, so I figure that was an acceptable method for them.
  4. Indeed. Now we wait. For those of us reapplying, not only do we know the waiting game all too well, we know the pain of watching the "Last Update" dates move (or not). Pour one out for #DecemberGang
  5. Tangentially - we're scientists and engineers. Pretty much none of us are good at personal statements.
  6. From the SysPlus website, "The FY2021 NDSEG application period is now open, and will close at 11:59 PM Eastern time on 2 November 2020. All application-related material, including references, must be submitted before that time to be considered." Looks like the references need to be in. From what I could tell, the Statement and Disclosure sections aren't even opened to finalize the application until every section is marked complete - my third reference just submitted his letter and now I can access those two final sections in the application.
  7. There is a line in the proposal section for entering the title, so it is definitely required. I don't see any reason to not put it in the PDF version as well unless you really truly need the extra line for the actual proposal content. If I was a reviewer though, and didn't see a title on the PDF, that means I would have to go find it in SysPlus' less-than-user-friendly website, and that would not make me happy.
  8. My advisor asked me "Is it Systems Plus again?" and I just kind of cringed and nodded.
  9. None so far from me. Still shows "Wait List" on the application, no 2020 awardees list published, no call or email.
  10. As far as I'm aware, no, they don't give feedback.
  11. Here we go again with the neurotic trying to figure out when we'll know while waiting. I'm doing it too, so it's good to have company.
  12. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HHwP8Zyh8W24HRUh5WnObRExb24JhN5ZLTa7p5Q8CkI/edit#gid=0
  13. I'm just going to assume that I didn't get it, otherwise I'll spend some indeterminate amount of time going through the stress of waiting all over again, and I don't know if I can handle it.
  14. It's probably a cycle - people making decisions about NSF is probably what drives the NDSEG waitlist most strongly, and the NDSEG probably affects HM promotion to fellowships for the NSF to some extent.
  15. No reason to not believe it. They'll probably get the emails out soon. Well done!
  16. Time for stressful waiting round 2 for the waitlist... ?
  17. Our first winner! Congrats!
  18. IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Waitlisted
  19. 1 hour to COB. Smart money is on you.
  20. Nobody knows what's going on anymore. Did you have a 4/16 also?
  21. Looks like robertac93 has a drive folder set up. I'll spend some time this weekend on a Lang-style website for use by future neurotic NDSEG applicants.
  22. Same. I was thinking a few pages back of creating a similar website to Alex Lang's wonderful NSF website, for this fellowship.
