We are about a month away from deadline day. Here are a few thoughts:
    1. With a few exceptions, the top 25 (and perhaps even the top 50) programs have released their acceptances (and waitlists).
    2. Prospective student events are taking place now and during the next two weeks. I have already attended a few myself.
Because of 1-2, at this point in time you should not be holding on to 7 acceptances. (I chose  7 because someone on the results page claimed to have this number.) You should absolutely decline a few of those offers asap. If you can honestly tell me that you are considering all 7 offers, then I am extremely disappointed in your lack of preparedness (learning about the programs you are applying to, meeting faculty and graduate students, and learning about the program including financial package) for this application cycle.
For those that have around 3 acceptances. I imagine you are doing your due diligence the next couple of weeks (attending the prospective student event, meeting with faculty, etc.) and should be able to narrow your acceptances down to 2.
For those that have an acceptance and are waitlisted at multiple programs that they would not chose over their acceptance, you should take yourself off the waitlist asap. This action is trivial to you but potentially substantial to others.
If you have 0 acceptances and are on multiple waitlists, I hope you are staying mentally well during this difficult time!
Finally, there are surely cases where it makes sense that someone is holding on to multiple acceptances. However, during the next week, I encourage everyone in this category to spend some time evaluating their acceptances and declining those offers that are realistically not in the running (including waitlists offers). I have spoken to a few of the programs I am waitlisted at and the DOG's state that their has been no movement. Since most of the (ranked) programs have released first round acceptances and some holding prospective events, the time is NOW to get the movement started.

replying to every rejection email with “your loss” and CCing anyone who might possibly be on the admissions committee.

For what it's worth, a student who finished that program in 2020 advised me not to attend. My correspondence with the grad admissions chair was pretty cold in comparision with my discussions with the admissions chairs at CSULB and New Mexico. Now, last application season was very stressful, so please keep in mind:
    (1) This is not a comment on the grad chair from last year's character. I do not know him personally at all.
    (2) I have never been to CSULA, I have only attended a Zoom course - and that was just fine!!
But, the student I talked to said that GAships and the like had dried up - and he didn't sound particularly enthused about the future. However, I heard excellent things about the faculty and cohort environment.
I would suggest also looking at CSULB if you're looking at terminal M.A. programs in California. Actually, scratch that, I'd highly recommend it. I've had a better than expected time here (and I expected good) and my interests fall outside of what is typical among faculty and my cohort (I'm more "continental" by a really long shot). The admissions chair is extremely helpful and responsive - and critical when he ought to be. He keeps tabs on just about everything that would help a graduate student, he's well-read across the discipline, he knows where you ought to apply (and not apply) based on your interests, he makes sure you have what you need (GAships, etc.), forwards conferences relevant to your interests, etc. If your interests are not "typical" for the department, he'll find courses in other departments that might be helpful. He's gone over and above what I think any student can reasonably expect from someone in his role. The accepted placements I know of from this year's graduating class were into Duke University and UC Irvine. I don't know anything about other students - the whole pandemic thing has made that a bit difficult, as you might imagine. Feel free to contact me in my messages!

This thread seems pretty dead, but I didn't want to make another thread for this complaint. I really wish people would behave better on the survey page. It has been overrun by (a) people begging others to decline offers, which is not really cool, and (b) people being very nasty to those who do (a), which is even less cool. Beyond the fact that neither of those things contribute to the obvious purpose of the results page, it has just made me, uh, embarrassed I guess? Maybe it was dumb of me to expect that prospective PhD students in philosophy would be any different from any given group of anonymous twenty-somethings on the internet, but Jesus guys, the way people are acting on that page is beyond immature.

But in the Acceptance Thread, @MtnDuck said that he seemed to track from FB and there are already 4 acceptance.
Well, he is not sure though, I think.

I've seen some being on the waitlist at UW-Milwaukee (including myself) and many being high on the waitlist. I also know some get rejected there. But I haven't seen anyone reports that she gets accepted, which seems weird.

Also waitlisted at UW-Milwaukee MA program which is the best one I had positive response so far.
It seems that NIU accepts many students this year. I hope this is a good new for both of us, dude.

Waitlisted at UWMilwaukee MA program. This is my only semi-positive response I've gotten this cycle so if anyone accepted is not interested in the program and is planning to decline please do so as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated!
