No better way to kick off the anxiety of the season than with an offer of admission! I'd been telling myself (relatively successfully) that I shouldn't expect any decisions until Feb/Mar, and so I'd managed to avoid a lot of anxiety and dread for the time being. But I heard today that I'd been accepted into UC Boulder's Classics MA program! I'm 16th on the waitlist for funding though, and I thought that Boulder would be more of a safety school. While I'm thrilled to know I'll at least be going somewhere for grad school, now comes all the self-doubt and anxiety about all the other applications. 16th on the waitlist is also somewhat intriguing- it sounds like there were a lot of applicants and a lot of offers of admission. Just letting you guys know, am I right to think that maybe Classics has also seen a surge in applications this season?

soooooo how's everyone doing? I think the worst part of this stage is not knowing when we'll hear back. Wishing everyone good news!

I still have another application due, so luckily that's keeping me distracted. After that, my plan is to just pretend that graduate school doesn't exist.

I've been dealing with this a lot myself. 
I'm trying to distract myself with other projects; I'm about to make a schedule for things I have to do during the day, i.e. work, but then things I want to do, like volunteer hours (I'm doing a lot of online stuff), creative writing, and trying to clear out my regular emails because I have so many. Usually, that is tedious enough for me to want to get away from my inbox, lol. I hope you find something to distract yourself! I'm trying to fully dive into hobbies and hope it helps.

You can search the results page by Classics results and see what date each result came in previous years. From what I gathered, generally things start picking up in late January and calm down by mid March. It's worth a look if you're wondering which places do interviews as well!

Hi everyone, I have an interview for Cambridge's Mphil in Classics next week. I'm having difficulty finding any information about the Cambridge Classics MPhil interview specifically. How did yours go? What questions did they ask you? Thanks in advance.

I wish I knew which schools do interviews and which don't! Not that it's likely I'll worry less about this whole process lol.
