  1. Agreed! When looking for grad schools, the focus should be on finding researchers that match your interests. At the end of it all, the research skills & techniques that you learned as a grad student are going to be much more important than where you went to school.
  2. Einstein sent me an invitation to interview last week — in the email, they said that interview dates are being offered "on a rolling basis." Not really sure what their process is for reviewing applications, but I submitted mine two days before the deadline. My guess is that they're still sending out invites since their interviews aren't until late February!
  3. Aww man, that's really rough ? I wish you happiness with whatever you choose to do moving forward, whether that be sticking with research, working as a teacher, or trying something else!
  4. Sure! So I'm an American student in my fourth year at a liberal arts college (GPA ~3.75). I've done three years of research during undergrad & summers, and I have one mid-author publication. I'm sorry that this application cycle has been tough for you, but I'm sure that if you take another year or two to gain more research experience you'll be a stronger applicant the next time around! Wishing you the best of luck!!
  5. The email did include my name, but bulk of it seemed generic. I was also a little thrown off since I applied for the PhD in Neuroscience Program, but in the email they thanked me for my interest in the PhD in Biomedical Sciences Program.
  6. From the email: "The sessions will take place on two consecutive days on 2/8/2021 - 2/9/2021 or 2/11/2021 - 2/12/2021, depending on the availability of the interviewing faculty."
  7. Happy new year!! Wishing everyone a wonderful 2021 and success in our grad school pursuits
  8. I think Princeton might still be sending out interview invites -- the results page shows that they started sending them out last week on December 23, and they've continued to send them over several days. They sent me an invite this past weekend!
  9. Did anyone here apply to / hear back from the Graduate Program in Psychological & Brain Sciences at Dartmouth? Their website said that interview invites generally go out mid-December, but I haven't noticed anything on the results page ?
  10. UMinn sent me an email with an invite letter attached on December 21 -- they're having a virtual interview weekend / neuroscience retreat from January 29 to February 1.
  11. Looks like Princeton is still sending out invites! https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=princeton+neuro*&t=a&o=d&pp=25
  12. So I received an interview invitation from Columbia, but I applied to the Animal Models of Nervous System Disorders specialization. I've got no idea if Columbia sends out interviews for different tracks at different times.
  13. Vanderbilt sent me an email yesterday with an invitation to interview. I'm not sure if they're done sending out invites, but the email was sent directly to me and had my name. Also, I applied directly to the NGP, so it could be different for IGP folks.
