OMG! I'm having weird dreams too! Can time just speed up?

Last night I dreamed that UdeM contacted me for an interview because they needed additional information. The struggle of waiting is real... Now I obsess even in my dreams ?

For those on the waitlist at McGill, when I signed up for the Open House I asked them how many people typically get placed on their waitlist not really expecting to get a response, but they actually replied with this: "Hi thank you for registering for our open house! We noticed that you had a question about the waitlist. We typically place 20-30 applicants on the waitlist. It is ranked as per the outcome of our file review. Looking forward to seeing you at the open house. " I'm so happy someone was finally willing to give us some information about McGill's waitlist! It isn't as long as I had feared. Hopefully this also brings some reassurance to the rest of you on the waitlist as well! Good luck to everyone!

Hey! I think Ottawa usually send out responses on April 1st like all the other Ontario schools, but last year I guess they were behind and it seems like they emailed all the applicants saying that their decision would be delayed until April 7th. Since we haven't heard anything from Ottawa this year, I'm hoping that we will still hear from them on April 1st!  (I'm so sick of all this waiting, lol!) Good luck to you too!

I haven't had a productive day since the end of February. I kinda wish it would be a "times flies" situation but honestly I am expecting the next couple weeks to feel so long haha.

Haha I'm in the same boat, with a birthday coming up as well ? with no clue when most of the schools I applied to are going to release their results I literally feel like I spend most of my time during the day checking my email, or thinking about checking my email. It's a rough time but I keep thinking that I've waited this long, I can stick it out for a couple more weeks. I hope that helps you too. Best of luck, and happy early birthday

Hey guys, anybody else feeling super anxious for April 1st? I can't seem to focus on anythingggg going on in my life besides application results. I keep obsessively checking Western's portal page even though I know I won't find out until April 1st lol. My birthday is also coming up in a week and normally I'm really excited about my birthday (especially this year when we have nothing else to celebrate due to the pandemic), but the stress of finding out whether I got into Western or not is absolutely killing me... so much so that I impulsively cut 12 inches off of my 4-year long grown hair lmao. Anyways, I hope everyone is keeping healthy during this time! A couple of more weeks and we'll have our decisions! Good luck to everyone .
Also, congratulations to everyone who has been accepted or waitlisted to any university so far! It's an amazing achievement and I hope you all are very proud of yourselves! For the others (myself included), let's keep our heads high and hope for the best! Remember, everything happens for a reason . Cheers!

I just got an email from McGill saying that I am on their waitlist, and my status changed on uApply. Does anyone know if McGill will disclose where on the waitlist applicants are?

As the verdicts to some of our applications role in, I am feeling the anxiety get to me. First I wanted to start off by congratulating those who have been waitlisted or accepted into McGill!! Now for those who have yet to hear anything such as me, my friend enlightened me with some consolations the other day that made me feel a lot better about things. She quoted some very wise words of Shakespeare to me "if it be not now, yet it will come". Although I know the quote is about death, when thinking about it out of context, if things do not go they way that you want them, do not forget that you can try again later. If you do not get in this year round, you may the next. I am sending good vibes to everyone here and I hope things go well for all of you!

Hey! My cumulative GPA is 3.84, and just to give some extra info too, I have work and volunteer experience with kids and adults with disabilities just not directly related to SLP.  I did research since my first year undergrad though and have 4 publications with a few waiting to be published which I think is what helped my application! 

Congratulations to everyone who is starting to receive offers (either waitlist or acceptance)! Last year when I was applying we had a thread where people could post if they are declining a waitlist position or offer, so I started one for everybody to use this year! This will help people get a better idea of how waitlists are moving. I know it's still early since offers are just starting to be sent out but I hope you'll find it useful once more schools start sending out offers
