I also got wait listed in MA Public Policy with Certificate in Research Methods (MACRM). Slightly disappointed as I was looking forward to it as a first choice. Any information on the WL and the webinar access is

Also, does anyone know if this post from 2018 is any relevant today? https://harris.uchicago.edu/admissions/blog/waitlist-information-and-faq

I think since the website about wl is not changed so it might apply to us as well... but not sure about it.

I asked some of the admitted students from last year, some said it was encouraged to send some additional materials to them, eg better scores and new internships. i already decided to do so, but still unsure if that's gonna help my application.

And some said in 2020, many wl students received offer under one condition to enroll in their DPSS program.

    Hope my info helps

My video essay asked to explain the concept of public policy. As you can imagine, it didn't go as I had hoped it would. I was totally thrown off

Mine was to explain which is more important: privacy or national security.

Back then I did not know anything in that field. I almost cried after it.

From what I have heard, they don't weigh the video essay in their admission process with a big proportion. They just want to see if you can say complete sentences in English. My video essay was on the question of "which country would you travel to next"? I didn't do so well but still landed an admission with some funding.

    Many thanks for the info!

Most policy schools don't do interviews - especially with the rush of applications they have now - they don't have the for it. The only exception is for special scholarships.

Thanks! No one I know are applying for MPP. Big relief. thanks again!
