Sure, I got my BSc degree in Kinesiology with honours.
    sgpa 3.94/4.0, 4.15/4.3
I don't have strong audiology background, but I showed my strong interests with around 30 hrs volunteer experiences with audiologist, but over 1000 hours in sports coaching.
    Good luck everyone!

I applied for Dalhousie and Western, but haven't heard anything from them!
This is my second year applying. Last year I applied for PhD in linguistics at U of T and master in audiolgy at Dal and got admitted into both. At that time I was not sure which one to choose then I declined Dal and chose U of T because the PhD program offers me full funding. But soon I figured out that doing a linguistics PhD was not what I want so I quitted the PhD program and applied again for the audiology programs this year. I have applied for Dal, Western, and two AuD-PhD combined programs in the US. Now I have been admitted into the AuD-PhD combined program at Ohio University, and didn't get into the combined program at U of Minnesota. But I would prefer the canadian schools (Dal and Western). I don't want to go to the US.... I am super anxious now.
Since I got admitted to Dal last year, I really cannot imagine how I will feel if I get rejected this year..... OMG... Last year Dal sent me an email on March 29th saying I was accepted.
I am now doing my MA in linguistics (thesis track) with a focus on phonetics. I am 24 years old and I am international but have been in Canada for four years. I love this country and I and my boyfriend (also international) hope to live and work here in the future! I haven't calculated my GPA but it should be ok because all my recent courses are A or A+ or A-. I don't have published papers but I have multiple research experiences and have presented at several conferences. I have around 100 hours of volunteering work with an SLP. I volunteered to offer therapy sessions to a teenager with audtism during the volunteering experience.
Hope we can get in! Fingers crossed!

Accepted S-LP and Audiology at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia… I just cannot believe it. I haven’t work as much for something than to get accepted into grad school. It’s not my universityof choice, but it still feels amazingly great to know that hardwork pays off. I’m a black man that grew up in a tough neighborhood in Montreal and never applied myself in highschool and to have been accepted into grad school, I just can’t believe it.
    Stats:
Bachelor’s of Education 3.93 GPA UQAM Montreal QC, CANADA
    150 hours volunteering with S-LP
Research Assistant at University of Montreal and McGill university
Substitute teacher ESL at my old highschool.
Now I have to worry about tuition and moving but still… wow … just don’t know how to react…

Hello! I am applying for audiology for the first time this year at UWO and Dal. I had previously applied to SLP for the past two years and after working at an audiology clinic I fell in love with the career. Good luck everyone! If you have any questions, I have gained some knowledge in the application process over my previous application cycles, please don't hesitate to ask!

Additionally, GPA calculations are out on ORPAS!

Hey! Im in my first year at Dal right now! I applied to both the SLP and Audio program. With my sGPA of 3.81 on a 4.0 scale (calculated by ORPAS, not sure if Dal's is different), 20 hours of SLP experience and the majority of my CV experience not being SLP related (Tutoring, research assistant, peer mentor, swim instructor etc.) I also didnt write a thesis. I got accepted to the Audio program and was waitlisted for SLP and eventually got in.
From my experience, since most people are applying to the ontario schools, there is so much more info on what they are looking for. Tbh, even though I got accepted into both programs, idk exactly what they look for ? From what I gathered though, I was a stronger applicant than many others in my class. I dont know their exact stats since its a bit tacky to ask lol. But I know for a fact Dal dont care about what program we took (we have such a diverse crew, one of the may things I love about Dal) or care if youre not going straight from undergrad. We range from early 20s to early 30s.
My advice is unfortunately pretty generic and basic: have diverse experiences (whether or not SLP and highlight how they can relate to SLP related skills), emphasize experiences that taught you diverse and inclusion, try to come off as a really well-rounded person by being both smart and good with people. Thats all I have from the top of my head!

I was accepted to Western's Audiology program on April 1st and have accepted my offer.
My sGPA was 3.47 with an overall GPA of only 2.8.
I honestly wasn't expecting to get in first time applying. I fully expected to have to apply multiple times.
I will say this, after my undergrad in linguistics I completed the CDA program at Georgian with a 92 average. And I have worked as a speech therapist for 6 months. And an Audiology Tech for 2 years.
I have no doubts that this was why I was accepted first round. If you are really set on Audiology, show them. Volunteer, seek employment in clinics, and do other programs while you wait in the field.
They aren't just looking at your GPA, I promise. If they were, I likely would have been rejected.
    Good luck everyone!

I, unfortunately was not accepted. For those who were accepted or waitlisted, congratulations, you should be proud!!! Just a heads up, for SLP, if you are waitlisted, you can email Janet and she will tell you what quadrant you are in on the waitlist, but nothing else! I'm assuming it's the same for audiology, but I could be wrong!

Congrats everyone who has been admitted!
To those of you who have been waitlisted, keep your chins up! Looking at the responses and people's signatures here, it looks like many people who've been admitted to a school have been admitted to many, so I anticipate a lot of people will be declining some of their offers so there's likely to be a lot of waitlist movement a few weeks from now when it's closer to the initial deadline!
To those of you not admitted or waiting to hear back, please try not to be too hard on yourself. This is an incredibly difficult process and you've worked super hard to even get here, so please allow yourself the time to be proud of all you've accomplished. If you apply again next year, I wish you the best of luck, and if I can remember I'll try to stick around on the forums to offer any insight about this process/wherever I end up   If you'd like to know stats or anything from me, or to perhaps have someone to talk to about this or anything else in the world my inbox is open.

Hey! As it comes closer to the time when the majority of people will be knowing results, thought I'd mention that if anyone wants to add their signature (like mine below) and results to the results page then it can be super useful for both people in this thread and people next year as well! It can help give a rough estimate for people this year on how many people might be declining offers (contributing to waitlist movement) as well as seeing what sorts of stats people had who did/didn't get in can be useful for future applicants, so feel free to use these functions!
If you'd like to add a signature, go to the top right and hit the triangle by your username, then "Account Settings" on the right, then "Signature" on the left, and you can input it there.
If you wish to add your results, go to the top left and hit "Results" and then "Submit Your Results" from the top of your page.
    Best of luck to everyone!

Hi everyone! Less than 4 hours to go!! I just want to thank all of you for supporting each other through this journey. No matter what the outcome may be for you, we should all be proud of the hard work we’ve put into this application cycle, and the resilience we’ve shown going through this experience while living through the pandemic. We all have a lot to celebrate and be proud of. I am proud of each & every one of you! Good luck and stay resilient ❤️

If you've activated your Student ID at Western, you could see your admissions decision right at midnight (accepted, rejected, waitlisted) through student.uwo.ca
I've only ever been rejected or waitlisted, so I got the actual email for both UofT and Western during the day on April 1. My ORPAS also stayed blank (under choices/offers). Maybe acceptances appear on ORPAS right at midnight? I'm not sure.

    Hi guys!
I've applied to UBC and I am sooo nervous waiting to hear back!!  I have a lot of audiology experience (volunteer at a not-for-profit helping low income Deaf and hard of hearing individuals as well as working as an assistant in an audiology clinic for about 6 months and some job shadowing) but I'm nervous about my GPA.  I think I have about a 3.70 on UBC's 4.33 scale (about 80%) average in my last two years.  I did a biology degree for my undergrad and some of those hard science courses did a number on my GPA.  It seems like this program is just so competitive but it's so exciting to think about getting in!  Any other hopeful UBC Audi students out there?
