Profile evaluation: MSCS in ML/NLP in Questions and Answers Posted July 3, 2021 Please suggest some universities for me. GPA: 3.5-3.7 (Top university in a third world country, but relatively unknown outside) GRE: 329 (170Q, 159V) Work exp: 1+ year experience as a Research Engineer Internships: 1 (Software Engineering) Publications: None (will be working on it) LORs: 1-2 From work (good) and 1-2 from Professors (possibly sub-par or generic at worst) Some extracurriculars I will be applying for MSCS (Thesis) programs in Machine learning, NLP/Computational Linguistics. Some colleges I am looking into: Ambitious: GATech, Ohio state University, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Florida Moderate: UT Dallas, Oregon state university, University of Colorado - Boulder Safe: I'm not sure what's safe given my profile. I'm not even sure if above classifications are right. I'm also looking at some colleges in Europe (Saarland, Stuttgart) but I prefer US. Thank you.
