Shots fired on MIT campus. My friends and I are safe, but an MIT police officer has been shot and killed. This has been a terrible week.

I finally got my first acceptance!!!

Does anyone else get motion sickness when playing video games? I just got sick from playing Skyrim and feel a tad lame for getting sick.

Not at all grad school related, but I finally hit the 25 lb weight loss mark! :-)

You may be prepared for a rejection from your top choice, but when it comes, it is TRULY heartbreaking.

One of my schools should be sending out acceptances this week. This could be my last weekend without an acceptance!

Ugh! Two of my apps are due Dec 1st and 2/3 of my LOR writers still haven't submitted their letters....

Trying to cut my 1,200+ word SOP down to 500 for a particular school. Ugh!

I got in! I got in! 2 days before I need to be there...but I got in!

So proud of my thesis defense today!

If my dream school has me on some sort of wait list, I hope someone turns down their offer. I hope that doesn't make me a terrible person. On the other hand, if they're genuinely still making decisions, then I hope they turn into the Road Runner.

Having a "holy sh*t I'm actually going to grad school" moment. In a good way.

If every year brings an "unusually high number of applicants" to every program, is it still unusual? Dude.

Took me three attempts in four years, but DAMN that acceptance feels GOOD!!!
