It's not the most difficult thing in the world, but it is way different that undergrad. It takes more out of you emotionally because of the content and you are really growing as a person. In my experience, the professors aren't trying to make your life hell, they are really supportive. It is doable to have a life, but having something else than school be your main focus can probably be difficult.

Hi there,
Im starting the process as well. What is everyone's idea on the amount of schools to apply too? I know people who have applied to 10 schools and got into 1. And people who have applied to 3 schools and gotten in. Is 9 too many schools to apply too? Im a CA resident and applying to, most likely, 4 schools in state and 5 schools out of state.

Application process is underway, I just took the GRE today, two schools I'm applying to need it. Now I'm focusing on resume and personal statement. Question: how far in advance is everyone asking for their letters of recommendation? And how many schools is everyone applying too?
