    Singapore NTU PhD admission 2019

Hello! Has anyone hear back from NTU regarding their PhD application? My friend received his offer last week but it’s radio silence for me! Does it mean it’s a rejection
  2. Hi everyone, I graduate this Friday (well I'm walking the stage and I have 2 online summer classes to go) and I'm so nervous and scared for my future. I really want to go to grad school to get my MSW but I am so burnt out from undergrad that I am taking a gap year. Also it was so expensive to apply to grad school. My bachelors of science is in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Latino/a Studies. My dream grad school is University of Chicago but I am too afraid to apply or even apply to other schools. I'm so afraid of failure and rejection. I just wanted to know how and why you think you got accepted into those SW programs? I have done a lot of service and social justice activism/work in my undergrad, as well as being apart of many different orgs and having leadership positions. I just think my grades espeically senior year grades are not the best. I don't know my final grades but I'm hoping my GPA would stand at 3.0 or higher at the end.
  3. I have applied to 2019 philosophy MA in Stanford and it has been radio silence since then. My application status is always 'submitted', making me wonder is there even an 'under review' status? I have checked past results posted on this site, the only information I get is that in 2016 someone recieved their MA offer on May 4th and someone else said Stanford forgot to send the rejection letter. I am really anxious since this is my first choice and I have turned down Tufts(and any other funded masters) before April 15th. Anyone heard form Stanford's philosophy MA now? Anyone knows whether there is an 'under review' status in their online application system? Should I solicit their decisions? Any advice/comments/information? Please say something to me! Thank you so much!

    UW-Madison 2019

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a thread about Wisconsin-Madison for people starting this fall, so I wanted to start one. I personally have a ton of questions for other people (housing options, relocation tips, what you've heard about Madison, etc...), and I also want to get to know other people starting programs the same time as me. Just for background, I am starting my PhD in Political Science. My subfields are American and Methods, and my expertise is in media, political communication, Congress, and elections. I am coming straight out of undergrad (graduating in a month!), and I am a first generation student. Looking forward to meeting more of you!
  5. Hi everyone, I have applied for DAAD scholarship for summer school and last week my status got changed from selection made to funding. Does that means that I got the scholarship? What should I do? Do I need to write them an email because I didn't get an email from DAAD?

MSW Penn or BU fall 2019

Hey Y’all. I’ve been accepted into the MSW programs at Penn and Boston University and i’m Curious if there are others out there who are trying to decide between the two programs? I haven’t visited either, and wondering if I should go next week. Thanks!
  7. Hello, Is anyone interested in non profit/thinktank are considering Evans? What are your thoughts on Evans? What made you decide to attend or not to attend Evans? I tried reaching out to Alumnis on Linkedin but I have not heard back :(. How is their alumni network? I think it is very regional specific but I liked Seattle and Evans has given me solid funding. Any alumnis, or prospectinve students what are your thoughts about it?
  8. Hi There, Has anybody received acceptance/rejection/feedback/interview from CERN SP 2019? Good Luck!

    2019 MPP: HKS v. GSPP

Hi all, I'm in an extremely lucky position of getting to decide between GSPP and HKS for an MPP starting in Fall 2019 (hope many of you all are as well). If funding weren't an issue, which would you choose? What are the major factors you would consider? As context, I'm a native Californian and am interested in local/state government policy creation/implementation. I anticipate winding up in CA long-term, but wouldn't mind a short break back east. It's hard to know exactly what questions to ask or what aspects of each school I should weigh in making this decision, so all comments and thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Just wanna start a post for Columbia Data Science 2019 fall applicants. Has anyone heard back yet? Or what is your process?
  11. I noticed there's usually one WAITLIST thread every year. This is where you can post about schools that you are waiting to hear back from. Consequently, if you are holding multiple offers and would like to get opinions, you can post here as well!
  12. It's that time in the application season--time to create a thread for declining offers/withdrawing applications. If you're declining an offer/withdrawing an app, post about it here.

    Master of Teaching OISE 2019

Hello, I am waiting for offer of admission from Master of Teaching program at OISE for Fall 2019. Anyone received an update on their application? I applied for J/I Mathematics.
  19. Does this exist? I felt like there should be a place where we can post on here (I know about the MFA draft facebook but that thing stresses me out.) So far I've been rejected by Ohio State and I still have pending: Michener, New Writers Project, Michigan, UMass Amherst, NYU, Brown, Houston. What about y'all?
  20. Hey everyone. I applied to the following MPH programs: University of Alberta, University of Saskatchewan, Lakehead and SFU. I've heard back from Saskatchewan so far (yay!) I have a BSc in Global Health. My goal is to work in Health Promotion. I'd like to have temporary placements in different parts of the world (esp. Latin America), but my permanent goal is to work in Northern Canada (I'm from ON, but I currently live in NWT). Could you share some thoughts on these different programs? UofA: specialization on Health Promotion. Saskatchewan: seems great, doesn't focus specifically on Health Promotion but I like the variety of courses (everything from Environmental PH to PH policy...). Lakehead: specialization on Indigenous and Northern Health. SFU: to be honest I don't know much about it. I applied because friends from BC highly recommended it ("It's the Harvard of the West Coast!") ---- Also, could someone clarify this from Saskatchewan: "The School of Public Health has reviewed your application and has recommended you for admission to the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS), which is the formal granting body for admissions. Once you accept your seat to the program, we send your information to CGPS for final review. From there, if they believe the student is a suitable candidate, they will send an official letter of acceptance via email and the student will be required to officially accept their seat via an online portal (PAWS). Admission may be revoked if students do not meet the criteria that CGPS has laid out in the official letter of acceptance. The deadline to accept your seat is March 1, 2019. " How does that work? If I choose Saskatchewan, I'm scared to accept their offer, reject others, and then have their offer revoked and be left with no programs.

    Acceptances

I'm starting a thread only for acceptances. The other thread is bound to become confusing and bloated very quickly.

    Carleton University

Does anyone have news on admission for 2019 session?
  25. Sup everyone, My name is Elia and I applied for a Master in Robotics, Systems and Control at ETH. I also applied for the ESOP scholarship. I thought it would be nice to start a new thread for this year's waiting process, in order to share our interviews (if any), advice, etc. Let's see if this works
