  1. Guys I need some help choosing universities. Please help me by voting the poll...
  2. Hi! I have concerns about beginning the application process this next year, and I would be very grateful to anyone having the time and kindness to offer advice. I'm interested in Cranbrook. I'm hoping to concentrate in sculpture in grad school, and their sculpture department's work looks incredible, and a professor I trust recommends them highly. Does anyone have any experience with Cranbrook, either having applied there, gone there, known anyone else who has any experience? I'm wondering not only if it is the right fit for me, but what sort of financial aid they offer, and very importantly, if I might stand a chance at acceptance. I'm coming from a very small but dedicated undergrad program, with great faculty. It's public but is still one of the best schools in my state (SC) for art. I have only ever had one solo show, and I haven't won many awards for my work. The main area I have experience in is public art and teaching. So, I'm very nervous as to whether I'm ready for grad school. My favorite professor and department head from undergrad are both highly encouraging me to pursue graduate school. The professor asks me about it near every time I see him (pretty much weekly lately). I know that I can get a great recommendation from him (he's done a ton to help me in the past) and at least a good one from my department head, along with recommendations from at least three other art professionals if I ask. I'm currently helping teach at my undergrad as a TA and did the same last year with the other professor. I'm working on a public commission for the campus of my undergrad, finished my first public commission last year while in school, and I have a meeting Monday to discuss another possible project that would be much larger. I have work in this year's ArtField's competition (southeastern competition with 400 artists). I will finish my degree program in industrial welding this summer (to supplement the welding knowledge I gained in undergrad). I hope to apply as an affiliate artist in residence to a nearby residency program, the McColl Center, for the time between finishing my teaching assistantship and when I might start grad school in fall 2017. I don't know, any knowledge helps. I'm not sure what other experiences people try to acquire before applying that I might be lacking. I'm also interested in Bard, VCU, ASU. Because of my undergrad experience, I would love to go to a school with dedicated faculty and stimulating classmates. Good facilities would be great because I can work in a lot of different media, but not as important as dedicated and inspiring people and a great artist lecture series. Thanks!
  3. Howdy! Anyone coming to ASU in August? Would anyone like to rent an apartment/house together?
  4. I recently for an admit for USC for spring 2017 electrical engineering. And also have an admit for ASU fall 16 for Electrical engineering major in embedded systems. Now I'm confused what to go for.. Usc is more expensive as compared to asu.. So is it worth spending more at USC? Or is asu equally good?.. Does the college name mean that much?.. Thanks a lot in advance!!!
  5. Hello I am international aspiring student with 7 years experience in the tech telecom industry with solid Development Test profile. I have admits from ASU for MS Business Analytics and for CS from Utah. I am interested in exploring data related domain. Will my non relevant experience count much here after an MSBA ? 9. I had applied for masters in computer Science at Arizona State University but I was admitted to Masters in Information Technology which is offered at their polytechnic campus. I have an admit for Masters in Computer Science at RIT with 30% scholarship. I wanted to know how are the job opportunities post MS in IT are they as good as post masters in MSCS? I have gone through the course work and it is not similar to what is typically offered in computer science. My intended major is Data manangement. it (2).pdf
  10. hey y'all, I have been admitted to the MS in Global Logistics program as consolation for rejecting me for their MBA program by Arizona State Uni. The program is only two years old and there aren't many reviews I can find about it. Is there anyone here who has any idea about the course? Also, is it worth getting a degree in Logistics?

  14. Hi, I am an Undergraduate student applying for MS in Electrical Engineering for Fall 2012 at UMich, USC, CMU, Cornell and Arizona State University. I have finished my online application part couple of days ago. I have also asked ETS to send the universities my GRE and TOEFL Scores. The letters of recommendation have been submitted by the professors. Now the only remaining part is the supplementary document submission. But I was wondering what exactly is meant by supplementary document. Should I be sending only my undergraduate transcripts to the university or should I include another copy of my SOP, Letters of Recommendation and resume (All which I submitted online) as well? And also, should I send the abstracts if the projects I have undertaken? The photocopy of the honors/certificates I have received? Photocopy of my previous academic records like high school grade sheet? I would really appreciate a quick reply since the deadlines are fast approaching. Thanking you in advance
