  2. Hello!! Has anyone here applied or heard back from NYU's Creative Writing in Spanish program?
  3. I am 51 years old, and have finally decided to go to Grad School. I have been accepted into a Masters program for Creative Writing. My question is, has anyone began this late in life? If so, did you find your Professors treating you as if you are a waste of time? I don't want to waste time or money, if it is going to be hell on earth. Thanks! Patlynn
  4. Hello!! Can anyone tell me about NYU's Creative Writing in Spanish MFA program? ¡¡Hola!! ¿Alguien me podría hablar sobre el programa de NYU, escritura creativa en español?

    Art vs.academia

Hey!! I recently applied for a scholarship to get a Masters in Comparative Literature in the US. Now, I am also looking at Creative Writing programs (specially, the Masters in Professional Writing at USC) and I am really liking them. Does anyone know a program that combines literature academic classes with creative writing classes? Or a university that will allow me to take classes from both programs? I really appreciate the help!!
  6. Hi there, and thanks in advance for any advice you can offer I am applying for my MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry). I've been battling my SOP for a solid week. I am curious as to what approaches anyone has found successful in their SOP for poetry in particular. I'm particularly interested in two things: (1) Tone - trying to find a balance of professionalism and, of course, creative voice....not sure how conservative to be. (2) Poetry-related content...Do admissions boards what to know specific poets I read? Who inspires me? My academic understanding/study of the craft? I'm absolutely stuck...Sincerely appreciate direction and thoughts ~ Thanks!!
