  1. I finished my BA last spring and I am applying for graduate programs for the fall of 2020. I am interested in studying metaphysics and logic. I am a big fan of David Lewis. The analysis of possibility, ontology, formal systems, and the metaphysics of science are each contenders for my chief philosophical interest. I do not know which programs I should be applying for. I plan on applying to a couple of terminal MA programs for general philosophy. I would like also to pursue MA/PhD programs and those programs with a strong faculty for metaphysics. Most of the programs I would like to apply

By "best" I mean real interest and knowledge in the content of ontological/philosophical systems, ie what they says about reality : how reality as a all is structured and how it works or constructs itself. I have to put this strong because most if not all of academics presentations about ontology or metaphysics are in fact meta-metaphysics ie epistemology : they only talk about the conditions of possibilities of a possible speech about the all of reality that never comes. Very irritating and that makes their saying cumbersome. I don't want to interact with this kind of scholars espec
  3. Hi everyone, Hoping to hear some advice about applying to MA programs with the long term goal of beginning a PhD in Philosophy. I graduated with honors from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Painting and a concentration in History of Art and Visual Culture in 2014. Towards the end of my schooling, my focus had shifted away from Fine Art courses (which at RISD already had a degree of Theory focus) towards my liberal arts courses which were heavily influenced by Critical Theory.
