  1. Hi! I am so happy about the offers I received for the - St. Gallen SIM( 2 years - consulting oriented - great international experience - no Supply Chain Management related electives ), - RSM MiM (1 year - international exchange opportunities - more generic), - ETH MTEC - MSc in Management, Technology, and Economics ( 2 years - generic courses with some technical courses - great SCM related chair - no international exchange opportunities) However, I cannot decide which of them constitutes the best choice for me. I would deeply appreciate any thoughts on any of these programs. My profi
  2. I am currently considering between these choices: - UC Berkeley Mechanical Engineering (Product Design/ Controls) [https://me.berkeley.edu/graduate/meng/] - Penn Robotics [https://www.grasp.upenn.edu/academics/masters] - Cornell Engineering Management [https://www.engmanagement.cornell.edu/em] My background is in Mechanical Engineering from a top 5 undergraduate school. Mainly hope to develop a deep specialization in robotics, controls, design for manufacturability, hardware systems development on the technical side, and take 2-3 management courses from the business school.
  3. I'm an American applying to management programs in France with no background in business (they accept all academic backgrounds). My cv is unfortunately very unimpressive so I'm looking to make the best of what I have. Any tips? The programs are in English so no need for it to be in French.
  4. LBS Master in Analytics and Management - first batch in 2019 with the LBS name https://www.london.edu/programmes/masters-courses/masters-in-analytics-and-management Imperial has been around for quite some time now, while LBS has just started this year. The course at LBS sounds

  6. Hey everyone, I'm thinking of applying for my PhD in management at two very different schools, McGill University in Canada (Desautels) and Rice University (Jones) in the US. Does anyone here have any insight as to which might be better program? I will likely only apply to these two, and perhaps 2-3 other schools. Thanks!
  7. Hello all! Longtime lurker, first time poster. Is anyone else here going out for any Theatre/Arts Management/Administration masters? This is my first year applying for grad schools so I really just dipped my toes in the water to test it out, though the eternal pessimist in me is telling me to not expect much this year. Most of my deadlines were at the beginning of January, so I know we still have a while to wait, but it's definitely difficult! Does anyone else have any stories/anecdotes/updates/etc., or just want to chat about the process? Best of luck to all!
  8. I couldn't find a separate thread for Business/Management applicants, so created this. I applied to 3 USA and 4 Canada Unis. My area is Strategy and Organization. I have received two interviews so far, and no news from the other 5 schools. Eager to know where the other candidates are in the process.
  9. I saw a nice thread in the Biology forum that inspired me. Please feel free to add to this post with your own profiles, or experiences thus far in the 2018/2019 entry phase. I could not find anything similar here, so I wanted to do my best to establish a thread that can stand the test of time throughout 2018. Please feel free to copy the text I use as a template for your post. Here is my profile for evaluation. I am hoping for a Tier 1 research university with full funding. Obviously I won't be attempting to apply to anything in the top 30-40 because of my undergrad school a
  10. Hi! I'm interested in applying to Masters of Marketing and/or Masters of Management (Marketing) programs. I was wondering if anyone has completed either the Masters of Marketing at Trinity College Dublin or Masters of Management (Marketing) at University of Melbourne? If anyone has partaken in either can you let me know your experience? Did you find that it was easy to acquire work once back in the U.S.? Where did you go to search for scholarships to fund your studies? If you have any other recommendations for schools I should apply to that offer these programs please let me know.
  11. Hi there! I've always been told that it is wise to listen to experienced people, so I would like to know your opinion in the following matter. I have studied an undergraduate degree in Europe, in aerospace engineering, a field that I love. I've been granted a scholarship to study in the US a graduate program (master's degree). Given my qualities and interests, I would like to eventually work on a engineering management job, in the space field if possible. I feel like I have learnt a lot in my undergrad degree of technical knowledge, but I feel I still have lots to learn about management..
  12. Hello Gradcafe, Struggling with a good problem to have. Got admitted to Yale's School of Forestry (FES) as well as University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE). Yale degree is Masters of Environmental Management; Michigan is Masters of Science. My research interests are renewable energy, green chemistry, arctic climate policy, and life cycle assessment. Both gave me equivalent financial packages. Visited UM before visit day and Yale at the open house. I'm torn about which to choose. Part of me feels like it would be silly to turn down Yale because
  13. Good afternoon everyone, I am starting this post because I have not seen any threads relating to applicants for 2018 Management/OB PhD programs. I am wondering if anyone knows when to expect hearing back from programs that had Jan.1 or Jan. 15 deadlines? Also, what are you doing to pass the time? I have unsubscribed to any spam messages in my email because I only want to receive updates about my applications lol.
  14. Hi guys, I haven't seen a topic for fall 2017 applicants for masters programs in business and i/o psych yet, so I thought I'd start one. Where is everyone applying? What are your credentials? What's the status on your application? 15. Hi there, I am an aspiring PhD applicant for fall 2018 and planning to put in applications in top schools in US/EU. My areas of interest include Gender studies, collective, culture and management. The main dilemma I am facing is, whether to apply in US universities or European universities including UK. When I look up rankings of development studies programs many UK universities come to top. I am still in dilemma what to do. My research topic is not yet decided but I have interest areas which makes applying to UK universities a bit problematic. I need some advise on how to shortlist the t
  16. I am wondering will a school frown down upon a 303 GRE score. I studied for a few months and the first time I took it I scored 300, 146 quant and 154 verbal with a 4.0 writing. I waited 21-days and retook again, scoring a total of 303, 148 quant, 155 verbal and I am still waiting on my writing score. I have my Master's in Industrial/Organizational Pyschology and I have three years of research experience. Please advise!
  17. Hello guys, I recently applied to OB PhD programs and in the process of waiting for interviews/admission results. Haven't seen a forum page for OB applicants (let me know if there is already one!) and thought I'd just open up a new thread to share information. Is there anyone who already received interview offers or admission results (reject/admit)?

  21. Hey everybody!! It's rare to see gerontology applicant posts so I decided to start one! USC is my dream gerontology program and I'm really anxious, nervous, nauseous, to hear my decision. I don't know of any of gerontology students so if you are a gerontology student let's network! We are a rare breed haha. We can use this to talk gerontology programs, schools, admission decisions and just help each other out through the process of graduate admissions! I have applied to USC, CSULB, CSUF, and University of La Verne. Haven't heard from USC, CSULB, or CSUF but I go
  22. All, I have graduated with a BS. in Computer Engineering, and have 1 year of grad school in Electrical Engineering under my belt. I withdrew this past year because I didn't have the finances to continue (working part time, company not helping and paying for tuition wasn't cutting it) My idea now is to go to school in the EU, and switch up my degree program a little bit. After working in a cubicle the last few years I think that I'm not suited to be a conventional EE and want to get into the management side of things. I have been looking for dual Masters degres in engineering and business,
  23. Anyone apply to one of the Phd Management programs at Purdue? This school is my #1 choice. The admission statistics say that a whopping 6% are accepted. I also heard that Purdue prefers to admit its own graduates. I have applied to 4 universities. And have been accepted to 1, but funding decisions are still pending. February appears to be the critical month for all 4 applications.
