  1. Hello! I am planning on attending school in New Jersey because of in-state tuition, but my dream is to live and work in NYC. I know that New York and New Jersey have different requirements for licensure. I wanted to know if it's possible to get my graduate degree in one state and then do my Clinical Fellowship Year in another state. If I'm not able to do my Clinical Fellowship Year in another state, how hard is it to get licensure in another state, specifically New York? I haven't been able to find much information online. If anyone has any information on this, it would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I have been accepted and told I unofficially have a TA position lined up from my POI at Rutgers in the PhD program for Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. I have not heard anything else for funding or how much to expect per month. Is there a ballpark number I can at least expect per month? I'm trying to get an idea of what I can work with but I can't find any information on that program specifically (it's new --> 2014 start)
  3. Hi, everyone!! I'm currently in the process of applying to graduate programs in the tri-state area for speech-language pathology. My GPA is a 3.8 and I am taking the GRE on Monday, but on a practice test, I scored embarrassingly low. I got a 145 on the verbal and a 140 on quant. I really have not had time to study between school and work, so I wanted to know how heavily weighted the GRE is. I am heavily involved on campus. Just to list some of my involvement: school newspaper editor, commuter student mentor, professor's assistant, member of a club for children with autism, national stude
  4. Hi everyone! I wasn't exactly sure whether to file this under Professional Studies or Social Sciences so hopefully it reaches the right people! I was just accepted into a counseling program and am having a bad case of indecision. Technically, I have about a year until I really need to declare this but since I'm trying to get work experience and hate having loose ends, I figured maybe you guys could try to help me now. The programs/careers that I'm stuck between are School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health. On the school's website, they even seem to be selling Mental Health more as the
  5. Which one should i choose for MS CS: Rutgers, New Brunswick, NJ North Carolina State University,NC Which one has better internship and job opportunities??
  6. Within the next few months, my applications for general psychology MA/MS programs for Fall 2016 will be due. I am applying to Villanova, Rutgers-Camden, and Seton Hall (Behavioral Neuroscience concentration). I'm still trying to find some research-oriented psych programs in the area. I was wondering if any one out there shares my restlessness!
  7. Hi, I'm looking for MPA or MPP programs and I was wondering if people had any advice? Some background, I live in Northern NJ, close to the NY border and commute to work in Manhattan, so that's around where I am location-wise. I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I graduated with roughly a 3.7 GPA and Honors in from the school of arts and sciences. What would be good Public Affairs and Public Policy schools to look into. I was accepted into and started an accelerated masters program at the La Follette School at UW (starting MPA cla
  8. I have just been admitted into the Rutgers-Camden's MA psychology program. Can anyone provide any insight as to if this program is solid in preparation for a PhD program? Any insight on this program would be greatly appreciated! I also have reservations about attending school in Camden, as I am familiar with Camden's dangerous reputation. Can anyone attest to this campus' safety?
  9. Does anyone have any information or opinions on Seton Hall's Museum Professions Program? Also, where is a good/affordable/safe place to live that would be in between South Orange and NYC?
  10. Hey Folks, I m an international student starting at Stevens in the Fall. I m Nigerian. Did my undergrad in NYC but didnt visit New Jersey much.
