  1. Hello all! I haven’t really seen anything for a PhD in Nutrition. Wanted to start a topic for everyone to post comments/questions. I know I’m waiting to hear from schools in Tennessee and North Carolina. Anyone heard anything yet?
  2. Does anyone know of any Speech Language Pathology graduate programs that are waiving the GRE for 2020-2021 due to the coronavirus? Thanks!
  3. I'm planning on applying for grad school this year, pursuing a PhD in physics or astronomy. Do they ever look at your social media (facebook, twitter, instagram) when you apply? This is probably a silly thing to worry about, but I'm wondering because I've become more outspoken on social media in the past year. I have been engaging in discussions (some might call them arguments 😅) with people in comment sections... Mostly expressing my opinions on US 'politics', social issues, religion, etc (if it matters, I am leftist and agnostic). I'm never disrespectful of others' views, it's just that I am
  4. I am a 27 year old economist with 3 years of professional experience in data science. I finally made up my mind about studying a master's in data science and plan to send in my applications as soon as October to multiple schools in the UK and Canada. Unfortunately, I do not meet the so called 2:1 honors degree requirement. A 2:1 degree is the equivalent to an 8.5 out of 10 in my country's system and I'm a long way off, sitting at 8 out of 10. How will this impact my applications? I would like to know whether or not schools will immediately reject me. Has anyone here been in a similar situ
  5. Hello Everyone, I'm a 20 year undergrad kid who is pursuing bachelor's in political science(last year) and after doing so i am wishing to apply for MPA program in either of NYU WAGNER/SIPA/PACE UNIVERSITY/CUNY. For backup I've kept CSU, UCLA, GWU etc etc... Although as I've no background in maths I'm not thinking to give GRE and as mostly all these Uni's don't require it for this program am really confused about what exactly would the admission office be looking at i.e what would be the basis of assessment an international student like myself and how do i make sure to land my
  6. I'm in a bit of a precarious situation with respect to my LORs and I was hoping for some advice. I finished my undergrad 10 years ago and I'm currently in the process of applying to grad school for Masters in Statistics. I have taken some course work as prerequisites for grad programs(CalcI-III and Linear Algebra). I'm getting two strong LORs from tenured professors from these courses but I am unsure what my best option is for letter number three. I have three potential professors I could ask but they seemingly all have drawbacks. 1. A calc professor- I got an A+ in his class. On se
  7. Can someone help me out to critique my SoP. It is very urgent Symmetry breaking in quantum mechanics is an important concept used to characterize the phases of matter. Crystals break translational symmetry, magnets breaking time-reversal and rotational symmetry, and superconductors breaking gauge symmetry are all different states of matter. The symmetry of crystal structure leads to various electronic Bloch states in a material on which the entire band theory of non-interacting fermions is established. Going through the recent advances in the band theory, I was intrigued by a diffe
  8. Does anyone know when Valdosta State University normally sends out acceptances/rejections for their summer grad program?
  9. Hi, Has anyone applied at Ryerson School of Professional Communication for Fall 2018? Have tou been able to get in touch with anyone who has studied this? Just wanted a general, independent overview of the program. Thank you!
