Has anyone heard from UAlbany about Clinical Psychology PhD admissions? I interviewed Feb 22nd at interview weekend and I REALLY want to attend. I recently emailed my potential PI to ask for an update (amid COVID-19 and such) and learned that I am on the waitlist with a couple people ahead of me, so they cant offer me admission yet. Does anyone know how the admissions process works at this school: It sounds like I'm not on a waitlist specific to my PI, but instead a program-wide waitlist...? I've been told they usually admit 6-7 people, any idea how my chances look?

I have funded offers from those two programs. Could you please help me decide? CUNY Pros: rank (28th), stipend (28K/year for 5 years), location Cons: department and current students don't seem very supportive or friendly Albany Pros: attention and support from students and facluty Cons: rank (36th), stipend (17k/year for 4 years), location Although I originally wanted to go to CUNY, I don't know if I like the department culture there. Some people work outside and students have to teach their own classes at a CUNY college from second yea

Hi! I have just accepted my offer of admission to the 2-year MSW program at SUNY Albany for Fall 2016. I haven't heard too much from the school and so I was hoping this might be a good place to get some questions answered, and just to hear about anyone's experience with Albany's MSW program. So, I'm wondering about a few things: - How accessible are advisors? Anyone have recommendations of how to get a good advisor? - How big is the MSW program in general, and how big are classes? Is there a sense of community? Do you feel like you come to know students and professors well?

Hi! I got admitted into the Ph.D. program at Albany, but I am waitlisted for funding. I am invited to attend the visit day, but as an international applicant, the air ticket is pretty costly. Currently, I think I would definitely go there if I get off the waitlist. I am thinking about whether it will do some help for me to get a funding offer if I attend the visit day and leave the faculty with a good impression. Any suggestions on that?

Kill me now? How long does it take? This rolling admissions thing is brutal. Anybody got a clue how long this panic attack that grad schools are forcing me to go through will last? (What I really mean is whats the typical wait time to hear from these schools?) Also, if anyone who has been accepted, also applied, and/or went to these schools what your stats were like? GPA, extra-curicular, work experience, etc. I'm going bat shit here.
