  1. Hello, Is anyone interested in non profit/thinktank are considering Evans? What are your thoughts on Evans? What made you decide to attend or not to attend Evans? I tried reaching out to Alumnis on Linkedin but I have not heard back :(. How is their alumni network? I think it is very regional specific but I liked Seattle and Evans has given me solid funding. Any alumnis, or prospectinve students what are your thoughts about it?
  2. Hey all, I have been accepted to NCCU and App State for my Masters in Speech Language Pathology. I have been at App for the past four years for my undergrad and am having a hard time making this choice. I have a huge desire to go somewhere other than app, just for the change of scenery. However, I know very little about NCCU's program. I have looked all over the internet for someone to give me honest feedback about either of these schools, but am coming up dry. I have a medical focus and want to work in the hospitals one day. I worry that NCCU's program may not be as rigorous as other's, but are surrounded by more triangle area hospitals. Someone please help me. All feedback is welcome, and I would love to know if you are in either of these programs how you like it. Please help me make the right choice!!!
  3. Hi! I'm interested in applying to Masters of Marketing and/or Masters of Management (Marketing) programs. I was wondering if anyone has completed either the Masters of Marketing at Trinity College Dublin or Masters of Management (Marketing) at University of Melbourne? If anyone has partaken in either can you let me know your experience? Did you find that it was easy to acquire work once back in the U.S.? Where did you go to search for scholarships to fund your studies? If you have any other recommendations for schools I should apply to that offer these programs please let me know. Thank you for your help!
  4. Hello, For anyone who's attending Georgetown GHP or have graduated, please comment on the following? 1. What is your current job? 2. What type of jobs have your other classmates in the program gotten? 3. How did GHD prepare you for your job or field? I'm not sure what I'd like to concentrate on. I know I want to work for the Peace Corps and UN and other agencies. Right now I'm interested in economic development, human rights, and Global Health. 4. Do you have any recommendations for someone who doesn't know what sector of development they want to focus on? 5. How does GHD differ, to you, from a regular MPA/ or IR program? 6. Can you tailor the program to your own development career goals? Thank you!!!
  5. Please help! I am currently trying to decide between an MSW program at either CSUN or SDSU. There are a lot of pros and cons to both, but I am interested to see what those here on the forum could tell me about these programs. What should I be placing most emphasis on when deciding? What are the reputations for these schools? How are both schools in regards to preparing students for licensing? CSUN: Pros: close to home (could potentially save money by living at home); an urban generalist approach (will maybe give me a more well-rounded experience); capstone project in final year; Los Angeles is a booming city for social work Cons: maybe the "safe" or boring option because it is close to home; maybe not ranked as high as SDSU (I am not sure about the reputations) SDSU: Pros: move to San Diego would be new and exciting; concentrations might allow me to become more of an expert in one topic Cons: Might cost most with living expenses Tuition is about the same. I have received some aid from SDSU, but I have not gotten my financial aid package from CSUN yet so it is hard to say what the final numbers will be. I would really appreciate any tips or insight that anyone could give me on CSUN and/or SDSU's programs, San Diego and Northridge in general, and simply the entire deciding process. It is a big decision, but such a hard one to make! Thank you!!
