Background: International student with a background in engineering and economics. I have a PhD offer from the University of Michigan's School of Information. The program looks good with a lot of interdisciplinary research. But, the Econ side of things doesn't seem to be as prominent as CS, HCI or stats within the department. On the other hand, I have PhD offers in Econ from UC-Davis, Ohio State, Iowa State and Arizona State. These are good econ program but don't have the prestige or the name recognition of UMich. After my PhD, I am equally open to an academic job or a research role i

I'm new to this site so I am not sure if this is posted in the right area. Im worried about my chances of getting into a grad school. Im currently a psych undergrad junior. Cumulative GPA 3.45, Major GPA 3.9. However, I am a little behind in research and internships. My school doesn't allow students to do research or internships until junior year and since was not able to get into a clinical psych class last semester (pre-req for intern) I cannot do an internship this semester. However, I do plan on volunteering this semester, somewhere relevant to my graduate interests. I also plan on doing a

I'm getting ready to apply to grad schools this fall. One of my big interests is Arizona State's MSW program, but I can't find any info on what their average accepted GPA's are or anything about acceptance rates. Any info would be appreciated, whether it's just general about the things I mentioned or your own scores if you were accepted to the program. Thanks!

Does anyone know anything about ASU's multilingual/multicultural program (PrISMS) this year? Their webpage (https://chs.asu.edu/programs/schools/department-speech-and-hearing-science/multilingual-multicultural-program) lists a deadline of 6/15/17 to apply, but mentions that they only got a grant for 30 people and it started last year. Also, are the spots in the program limited, or just the funded spots? (i.e. Is anyone in the program without being funded?) As someone wanting to work with multicultural populations, I can't see myself committing to a program before knowing if I'll be able to

Hi All, new here. Facing a dilemma, (and I apologize if this is the wrong section of the forum as I wasn't sure but I figured as it pertained to TAs I would try here). January 30th I was accepted to ASU Math PhD program, with no word on funding. Apparently, according to their website, that is how they do it. They accept people, then a few weeks later they go about offering TAs. It is now February 23rd, and I still have no word on a TA position. I have seen 5 or so people post on here in results that they have been accepted by the department as well, and none of them have heard anything ab

So I applied to ASU's LLT program as a backup. Anyone else an applicant in this year's cycle? Any thoughts on this program? I like how ASU has been named the most innovative university and also how since starting the new LLT program, ASU's college of ed has risen to #14 in the USNews rankings. Not sure how much that matters. 4 years of funding though, but it's really good funding.
