I wanted to start this post so we can track the speech pathology programs in the south. There are so many threads regarding the northern schools, it gets tiring sorting through all of the different posts. This thread is for southern school programs ONLY (ex. schools states like Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the Carolinas).

Hey y'all! I'm from Texas, and I'm currently applying to a bunch of different schools. I was wondering if anyone has any good information on the schools below to share! It would really be so helpful! Schools: University of Tennessee HSC, Texas Christian University, University of Oklahoma HSC, UMass Amherst, Washington State, Abilene Christian, Auburn, Harding University, Georgia State University, Baylor University Honestly, I am very interested in all of what these programs have, but I would love any feedback if y'all go there now/know more about these programs! I'm especially interested in focusing in autism, aphasia, and working in the school setting for a while.

Hey guys, So I applied this cycle to Vanderbilt, Emory, UAB, and Auburn and got rejected by 3--still waiting on Auburn. I have a 3.61 undergraduate GPA, my GRE scores were a 153 in quantitative; 153 verbal; and 4 essay. I have 2+ years research experience--I haven't published but I do work on all of my PI's manuscripts and grants (editing-wise) so I'm in the acknowledgements of most. Does anybody have suggestions on how I can better my chances of getting in next year?
