I received the following email today (as I'm sure all applicants did as well): Funding Opportunity: Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s Program La version française suit. This is an automated email message. Please do not reply. The status of your application has changed. As of April 1, consult the Application Overview page in the Research Portal to view the results. Does anybody know if it is guaranteed we will see results on April 1st? And does receiving a result early mean anything, or does everyone find out at the same time?
Need some advice. Would appreciate insight from people who have applied for the CGS-M. I'm planning to apply for the CGS-M but I don't have that much research experience. I didn't do a thesis but I have one publication in an undergraduate journal (nothing too rigorous). I am currently doing some research with a non-profit (supervised by a prof) but still haven't completed the ethics review so very preliminary. My GPA in the last 2 years of undergrad is nearly a 4.0. Does this email say I've gotten an unofficial acceptance? __________________- Dear [Me], I am very pleased to inform you that your application to CGS-M award to the [University] was nominated by our departmental selection committee and has been ranked highly by the [University] in its central adjudication process.
