Haven't heard anything from any LA/OC County Cal States (CSUF, CSULA, CSULB, CSUN) so I thought I'd start this in case anyone has heard/hears anything.

Hello, I applied in early January for csula, csuf, csulb and csusb. I applied sometime in mid January for csudh. at csulb they said they could not review my app because after some supplemental deadline. I turned it in before January 15 though. I still have not heard anything else besides my application is in department review. I am getting more and more discouraged everyday because I have not even heard about an interview or anything. This is my second time applying so I don't know what will happen if I don't get in this year.

Do any applicants past or present know anything about the questions they’ll ask?

Hello, I'm getting started for the Fall of 2020 applications with personal statements. I'm targeting Cal State universities and having a hard time figuring out how to write/structure my personal statement. With most if not all universities asking the applicants to answer multiple questions, some give the option to answer each question separately and others are ambiguous about it. I'm basing this on 2019 applications, as 2020 apps are not out yet. I'm aware that the questions may change, but still getting a head start so I can have the majority of the content ready to be edited and interwo

I was recently accepted to both philosophy programs. I am having a hard time deciding on which program would be best for me in the long run. My main interest is philosophy of mind (consciousness, explanatory gap, phenomenal character of experiences, nature of self, mind-body problem, panpsychism, etc) Which school is better!? I’m mostly curious about faculty and how they interact with students.

I applied to CSUF, CSULA, CSUSB and CSULB for the MSW program for fall 2019. I sent in my applications right before the priority deadline ended. CSUSB and CSULB have my application under review for the program. Has anyone heard back from any of the schools mentioned for the MSW program? If you have, When did you send in your application? How did you send it in? How long did it take for them to get back to you? How did you get your acceptance or rejection? Thank you.

Hello, I applied to the MSW program for CSULB, CSULA, CSUSB and CSUF in January and have not received an interview from any school. This is my first time applying and I did miss the transcript deadline by about 3 days. My GPA is 2.9 from a CC and a 3.1 from a 4 year. I have been taking 5 classes each semester for the last 60 units. I was rejected from CSULB, CSULA, and CSUSB this past week. I am still waiting to hear back from CSUF. My question is.. Does anyone know if I can appeal their decision? How does the process work? Thank you.

Has anyone recieved an email for an interview from a CSU for a masters in school psychology? I applied to csula and I haven't heard back from them yet. I have a gut feeling I will get a rejection email next week and I'd rather know now. When I called and the lady said my file does not say I've been rejected yet, but the deadline is next friday...

Hi guys, I noticed there isn't any School Counseling information here so I decided to create a thread. I only applied to CSULB School Counseling program for fall 2017. Had my interview March 18 and was notified via email on April 6 that I am on the wait list I was wondering if any of you that were accepted to csulb program are not going there after all? I don't know where I am in the list they wont let us know... I am so hopeful someone decides to go to another program or the program is able to get more funding (PLEASE!!!) just wanted to see where everyone is at right now, thank you guys!

Hi everyone, I'm currently an SLP undergraduate at a local CSU. I'm interested in applying to graduate school in California but want to know what experience, test scores, GPA, etc I should have to remain competitive. Has anyone gotten accepted to the CSUF, CSULB, or Chapman SLP Grad program? If so, what were your stats related to scores/gpa/experience? Any advice as well?

As an out of field applicant, I've decided that the best option for me to complete the necessary SLP prerequisite coursework is the CSULA post-bacc program, and thankfully I was accepted! However, this program is not eligible for federal or state loans, the only option is private loans. My undergraduate GPA isn't the highest (3.56 cumulative, 3.75 last 60 units) which means it's extremely important to do very well in the post-bacc classes so I don't know if I'll be able to work many hours. Plus cost of living in LA is very high. Does it make sense to take out private loans for this program? Tu

Hi Guys! So it’s about that time! Schools are sending out their acceptance/decline letters. Let this be a place where you can share which CSUs you applied, which ones you’ve heard from and have yet to hear from. If you got invited for an interview please share some tips for those who haven’t had theirs yet. Let’s support each other and possibly meet people who will be in your program in the fall! My name is Selene and I applied to the extended programs for CSUF CSULA and CSUDH. I got accepted to CSULA and CSUDH but have yet to hear anything from CSUF.

I was wondering if anyone who is currently or finished a MSW Advanced Standing Program could give me any feedback. I will be applying to a MSW program this Fall and I'm looking into advanced standing programs. If anyone could tell me their stats(gpa,volunteering/work), if they felt the program was too fast, can you still apply for CALSWEC in the one yr program, were you able to work at all? If you weren't able to work then how did you pay for bills/housing. Also, did you have to take out any loans.

I recently been accepted to both CSULA and the CSULB Msw programs. I'm stuck on which one to attend. Some tell me that the CSULB has a better program but others advise me to chose CSULA. Does anyone have any advice or info on which one is better? I need advice from current applicants, enrolled, or alumni. Thank You

Hi everyone! I am a recent graduate from CSULB. I am applying to a MSW program for Fall 2017, but I am lost in my journey. I have a few questions for anyone who can answer them.I am considering applying to CSULB, CSUF and CSULA. I will be paying for school all on my own and I still have undergrad loans so I am looking for something affordable but a good school. What is the cost for the MSW program at each school? What are current students paying? What time are classes? I've heard they are later in the evening I know that experience is important so what kind of experien
