  1. Hi, I was wondering If anyone that has applied to Speech@emerson for the Fall 2020 Cohort has heard back with an answer? I was told that even though things are a bit nuts with whats going on right now I would still hear back in 3 to 8 weeks. I'm going on 8 weeks now and starting to go nuts lol The wait game is hard. I'm debating if I should email them. Thanks.
  2. Hello everyone. I noticed the meet and greet threads for MSU are pretty old, so I thought I'll start one here. I am attending Michigan State University this Fall. Anyone else joining? Feel free to mention anyone else you might know too! Stay safe!
  3. Any other international students out there in the process of accepting an offer to NYU for the Fall 2020 semester during the COVID-19 pandemic? Have you started your i-20 application? I was hoping to attend Steinhardt for the Fall, but with everything going on, the uncertainty has me anxious in moving forward with my acceptance. Considering the cost of tuition, finding living arrangements, and other expenses, has the pandemic changed your plans? As of now, NYU plans to have in person classes this Fall, but who knows how things will move forward... Do you think it's worth the cost for online classes? Have any of you experienced any other updates other than the extended tuition deposit deadline? Sorry for the amount of questions, but I haven't been able to connect with anyone in regards to the topic. Thank you!

  5. Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I got accepted into Columbia MIA for Fall 2020 and I am not sure what's going to happen with my master's plan with this ongoing pandemic. My consideration is: I don't know if the pandemic will end in time to allow Fall 2020 to proceed normally (I'd like to avoid online class as much as possible) and the visa application is another issue since we don't know when the embassy will be open again for the visa application. What's your take on this and what's your plan? Are you considering to defer or do you just 'wait and see'? Thank you in advance!
  6. Just wanted to know if anyone has applied to any Canadian Public Health PhD programs for Fall 2020?
  7. Starting a post for all those waiting it out with the Georgetown MPP program for fall 2020. Personally applied by the Jan 15th deadline.
  8. Hi all! I haven't seen a thread specifically for MIT AeroAstro graduate decisions yet and was wondering if anyone has heard back yet?
  9. Hi all- So I just called the Columbia Office of Admissions (I applied priority, Clinical Track with a focus in Children and Adolescents). And was told that my application was in the final stages of review and that I should hear back "very soon." Did anybody call/hear the same thing/how much sooner did you hear after? My anxiety is through the ROOF. Thx all for helping a V nervous candidate out 🙂
  10. Does anyone have any information about these programs? (SFA and LSU-SH) There's almost nothing about LSUSH on asha edfind and little on their website. I'm trying to decide if I want to add these schools to my list of apps and I need to do that pretty quick so I can get my LOR's!
  11. I applied to ten schools, but I am worried about my GRE and GPA (141&142, 3.4 in overall and major). I have a lot of good experiences with research, going abroad for CSD, working in a hospital, and having leadership positions. I also transferred my junior year which was a hard transition at first. I looked at schools that my GPA fit into their averages on ASHA. Just a bit worried although I know its early!!
  12. Hi I graduated with B.E in Biotechnology in the year 2017 from India. I have been working in a computational genetics lab since then. I don't have any publications yet. Might be submitting one by the end of this year. I am aiming for Phd in mathematical biology as that field really interests me. I have done courses in Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra and Differential Equation during my undergraduate studies. It would be great if you could suggest me any universities in the USA which offers this program of study. I would welcome suggestions in this regard, since I don't have a major in mathematics how much it is going to affect my application process. Also, do I stand chance at all for getting an admit(an international student plus not a strong background in mathematics). Really appreciate for reading this! Thanks in Advance!!
  13. Hi all, I have a pretty low undergrad GPA of about 3.3 in communication disorders but want to get into a masters for SLP somewhere. I have yet to take the GRE but most likely won't be doing too stellar on that either. I will be taking a gap year and then applying for the Fall 2020 cohort at schools. I have a lot of experience with a lot of observation/shadowing hours, being a paraprofessional, a direct care professional, and volunteering abroad. I'm wondering if I even have a chance of getting into any schools with this low GPA? Also willing to go anywhere for grad school so if you know anywhere that accepts lower GPAs let me know! Thanks:)
