  1. Hi everyone! I have a 45 minute phone interview coming up on Friday for an I/O PhD program and I'm looking for some general advice and feedback on my preparation so far. My current list of prep items includes: re-read personal statement to be able to expand on it/refer back to the "why I'm interested in the field" question create elevator pitch about my writing sample (research proposal- it was only a term paper so it wasn't intended to be executed as a full experiment/study, but it represents my topical interests well) go over POI's recent papers/faculty page and get fa
  2. Hello all, Has anyone heard back from the NYU I/O masters program? I'm worried I've missed an email somewhere or wondering if they haven't sent anything out yet. The website says February initial decisions go out, but I haven't seen anyone posting their acceptance. Just getting anxious as its one of my top choices! Thanks!!
  3. Hey Everyone! Stats (graduating this spring, 23 years old) = 3.0 GPA, 3.7 Psych Gpa, taking gre this weekend. Psychology major/Business Minor and 1 year of research assistance. 3 years of sales and management experience in the auto repair industry. I am getting ready to apply to graduate school and I just want to know if anyone has, or knows anyone in a similar situation. I have been working full time since the day I turned 18 and let my GPA fluctuate throughout the process. When I finally decided I wanted to pursue I/O, i switched from business to psych and haven't gotten a
  4. Hey all. Still waiting to hear back from St. Cloud State University. Anyone know about the department? How many people they accept? Difficulty to get in? Any info you have would be great. I'm anxiously waiting to hear back.
  5. Hello guys, I am an international student. I have applied to a bunch of masters programs in Industrial & Organizational Psychology for Fall 2016. I've received acceptances from University of Central Florida, Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and Illinois Institute of Technology so far. I'm still waiting to hear from other, maybe better programs. But one of these universities require a decision within the next 10 days. I am very confused to say the least. Please give me your opinions on which program should be a better choice according to you. Thank you!
  6. Well, I've mostly gotten my voice back. I've been trying to decompress and really work through my experience this past weekend, and I think I'm ready to write about it. I'm not going to focus much on the specific content of the three interviews because there are plenty of forums and threads that contain very accurate and helpful information on that. Go find it. Rehearse your answers in front of a mirror, and remember that you're being interviewed for a reason and not by chance. Last Thursday, I drove to WMU. It took about nine hours, and I was hungry by the time I got to campus. My
