  1. There have been a few threads here and there mentioning Dublin. Since I will be attending either UCD for a MA (accepted) or UCD or Trinity for a PhD (waiting) I thought I would get the ball rolling on specific city information. I've been poring over Daft.ie and it seems apparent that 1. housing comes quick and gets snapped up just as fast, and 2. it's next to impossible to get affordable campus-side accommodation. I'm moving to Dublin with my two-year-old so I need to find a self-contained flat (studio/one bedroom is fine) rather than shared/student housing. My budget is €1000/month
  2. Hi guys! I am very interested in the Doctorate Program offered by the Counselling Psychology Department at TCD, Ireland. I was wondering if anyone could share their experience there? Also, I heard that there is difficulty obtaining work permits for international students, can anyone shed light on that? Finally, is it necessary to be registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland prior to applying for the program? Answers to these would be much appreciated!
  3. Hello folks, I have put together a statement of purpose for my MBA. I am short on time and wrote this down in a hurry. I have penned it in a different way than usual and hence it would be great to receive some feedback on the same. Let me know if anybody can help me with it. Also, I can review your letters for you. Have uploaded the doc on my drive. Follow the link to read it. You can also comment in the doc itself. Statement of Purpose - https://goo.gl/uz1kAK
  4. My problem is the following, I want to apply to Trinity's masters in Msc Information System, M.Phil in Digital Humanities and Culture or Msc. Interactive Digital Media (the three seem equally attractive to me) . I have a 3,3 GPA of a 5 year program (Political Science), from a demanding and prestigious university in South America (Pontificia Universidad Catolica - UC) To further explain my concern. Usually, in the university nobody gets a GPA higher than a 3,6 (we work with a scale 1-7, where you approve with a 4(60%) and normally a GPA is 4,8 and the maximum I known someone has gott
  5. I was originally not going to apply for grad school this year as I wanted work experience. However, a last minute decision saw me applying for TCD's doctoral program in mid-march. I know its hardly been 3 weeks but I am freaking out. I mean, this is Trinity! and its a doctoral program. Has anyone been on this program so far? I just want to know if i even have a chance My undergraduate G.P.A is 3.98/4 which is good, but my only work experience is a 1 month clinical internship and a 1 year part time counselling internship. I just graduated in December and have never been employed as a psych
