  1. Does anyone know if OISE allows deferrals? I got accepted to their M.Ed for developmental psychology and education on June 2nd but have already accepted a teaching job at a school for this academic year due to the fact that I hadn't heard anything for so long. I'm really conflicted about what to do and would ideally get a 1 year deferral but I've heard from people that OISE doesn't do that. Any help/information would be greatly appreciated!!
  2. Hi everyone, has anyone applied to the M.Ed in counselling and Psychotherapy at University of Toronto? Have you heard back yet? I thought of creating this thread to discuss our backgrounds, work experience and our entire application experience followed by the results (when we get them). I have 4 years of experience working in a renown first episode psychosis clinic as a symptom evaluator and neuropsychological evaluator. I conducted various clinical asessments, diagnoses, in depth psychiatric evaluations of in and out patients, wrote medical histories, case reviews and conducte

I have interviews at William James, Umass Amherst, Southern CT State University, Tufts, and Northeastern. Im still waiting to hear from UConn and UMass Boston. Each program has a different degree they offer (M.A., M.S., and M.Ed) along with different specialist credentials (CAGS, Ed.S and 6th year certificate). I know that for the most part the specialist credentials are the same but vary in name depending on the state, but I'm wondering if the difference in the masters degree is sign

I'm interested in reading stories about what it is like to be a M.Ed student. My undergrad was not education related, so I have no idea what to expect. In particular, I am interested in knowing about the day to day life of masters students, what the workload is like, and what graduates would recommend to up and coming students to make the most out of their time in graduate school. I'm seeking licensure in severe/comprehensive special educatio
