  1. Hello all! Its decision time and I am not sure I am making the right choice. Already I'm not at a great place financially and in both schools Id be paying approximately 30K. However one program is one of a kind and closer to my passions but the other is definitely a good match for the work I have been doing. The decision to move from California to Massachusetts is definitely a difficult one considering I don't have a steady income yet. I would need employment and an apartment to make it by there. If I stay in CA I have already secured employment and have a

  3. Hi there!! ? I am looking into doing an MSW( and maybe the MSW/JD) at York or U of T, or the MEd in Counselling Psychology at OISE !!! I am looking into these programs w the hopes of providing anti-oppressive, feminist therapy in the future. I am also really interested in working with incarcerated folks. I am finishing up an honours in women's studies, and did my research on first-person narrative as a tool of restorative justice and personal healing. I'm looking for current or past students to discuss the benefits of each program! Some questions to start, How did you like the program? Strengt
  4. So Guys would you help me please. I am accepted to the International Education Policy and Management in Peabody School of Education in Vanderbilt University and also the Education Policy and Leadership Program in American university. I have got merit scholarship from AU and Vanderbilt promised me the same thing too (vandy has not sent me the official announcement about the funding yet). Vandy offers Thesis or capstone project while AU offers capstone only. What do you think guys?

    Post-bacc

Does anyone have suggestions for post-bacc programs??? I have a BA & MA in Sociology. I only finished Bio 1 with lab in undergrad.
  6. I'm looking to do a Masters in Teaching or a Master's in Ed in the Northeast. I know Smith College has a program called Project Coach that is fully funded in exchange for 20 hours of work in their urban ed program, and at Boston College Lynch School they have a partially funded urban ed fellowship as well. Does anyone know of any other Masters in Ed or MAT programs that are partially or fully funded in the Northeast? Thanks!!
  7. Hey all, I am reaching out to get some advice. I have been offered an MEd (thesis-based) full-time with a ta/ra ship at Brock and a MA in Education from UOIT. I am wondering if there is a difference, as they are both thesis-based masters. I do not want to close the door to a Phd one day, so I am concerned as to do the MA or MEd. At the end of the day, is either more accredited than the other? Thanks in advance for any help. I really appreciate it.
  8. Anyone is waiting for acceptance for OISE MA and/or MEd in Language and Literacy / Curriculum Studies for OISE's CSTD 2017 fall admission? What is your academic background? And/or what is your OISE research focus (if you are applying for the MA)?
  9. This may sound silly, but I'm still an undergrad and wondering about the EdD application requirements. I'm doing initial licensure in teaching (Massachusetts) as an undergrad, but would like to eventually get into an EdD program in educational leadership (hopefully). But my question is, will I need an MEd or MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) first, or does it depend on the school? I'd prefer an MEd (seems more prestigious/relevant), but it seems that when I first start teaching, the MAT will be easier and convenient for me to get. Any thoughts on this? Or can I go straight into an EdD
